I think he plays with irons and wedges from an indian company, 3 letters, can't remember them sorrry. Not a well known brand here in Europe or in the US.

GMA is a high end (also very expensive) golf gear company in Japan.
Try is once ...nice but way too much deco on those sticks...Royal Staris the name for the irons...
the rep. told me that some of customized sticks even have crystal deco on them...very funky looking

here is the website

GMA irons and a Ping Zing sand wedge.

He was using an old Bubble-shafted Taylor Made fairway wood (with the Asian-released head) too.

Golf World (UK) ran a WITB in this months' issue.

No decent pics, sadly, but the narrative is quite good:

Driver: 'It's a Callaway FT-3. It says 8.5 degrees loft on the top but actually it's now just 5.8 degrees. I had it bent back and now it's one of the lowest lofts on Tour. I had to change my swing because I damaged my wrist in 2000 and now it helps me to have less loft. I open the clubface at impact which adds loft.'

2 Wood: 'Even I'm not sure what you'd call this; it used to be a Taylor Made driver, but now it's more of a 2 wood. I've had it since '94. It says V921 and it has one of those Bubble shafts. It has 9 degrees of loft and I've added some lead tape to the head. It's an old favorite.I usually use it off the deck with a left-to-right cut.'

3 Wood: 'A 3+ Callaway. I hit this off the tee rather than my 2 wood. It goes out there about 260 yards, while the 2 wood is a bit longer. 275-280.'

Irons: 'Custom made with my name on by a company called GMA. I liked the heads so I had a set made up. Standard lie with two degrees less loft, 3-PW'

Wedges: 'I have a couple of Ping Zing sand wedges at 54 degrees and a lob wedge at 58.'

Putter: 'It's a Scotty Cameron. I picked it up this year and have no idea what model it is. It's new.'

Ball is a Titleist Pro V1x.

I,m sure he's now playing the following

Callaway ft 5
Callaway 3 wood
Callaway Fusion irons
Ping zing 2 wedges
Scotty Cameron putter

The GMA's are no longer in the bag

2 Wood: 'Even I'm not sure what you'd call this; it used to be a Taylor Made driver, but now it's more of a 2 wood. I've had it since '94. It says V921 and it has one of those Bubble shafts. It has 9 degrees of loft and I've added some lead tape to the head. It's an old favorite. I usually use it off the deck with a left-to-right cut.'

Here is a 10 degree example of what Jeev was using as 'that' 2 Wood.

J M Singhs GMS irons design looks very similiar to the old Ben Hogan Edge irons... that was a very successful iron. I wonder how these irons are has anyone played them... like to see some reviews :kewlpics:

DRIVER
I use a Callaway FT-3 that says 8.5˚ but has been bent to 6˚. I’ve damaged my wrist so I set up with the club open at address, the 6˚ loft ensures the ball doesn’t go too high.

3-WOOD
I have a 12˚ Callaway Big Bertha Steelhead with a Diamana x-flex shaft, the same as in my driver. I carry that between 250 and 260 yards.

5-WOOD
I have a classic 17˚ Callaway Big Bertha that’s great for hitting into par 5s in two and long par 3s.

IRONS
My Calllaway FT irons have extra stiff UST KB Tour shafts. They have a great feel and I love having a more forgiving head.

WEDGES
When it comes to my clubs, I’m old school! I use Ping Zing wedges, 56˚ and 58˚. I have to order them specially as Ping don’t make them anymore.

PUTTER
I use a Scotty Cameron Circa ’62 No.6. I’ve always liked this shape of putter and this has a really soft feel that I like.

BALL
I’ve used the Titleist Pro V1x for three years. I think it’s particularly good in the wind.

SHOES
I wear FootJoy DryJoys because my right foot has no arch and these offer great support.

His bag of clubs is almost as interesting as his swing, good player though you don't see many swings like his any longer. I tend to root for guys like him, much better than the cookie cutter pros you mostly see.
