Every time i see Seth Rollins i get more and more upset with what WWE is doing to him. He's probably the most talented guy on the roster and they have him running away from people and jobbing to John Cena, Dean Ambrose, J&J etc...

It's his character i get it....but i wish he'd get to play a character who got offense in every now and then

They need to let Seth get a clean win over Cena and run with it from there. Until/or if the rematch with Lesner occurs.

+1.    Great show they're putting on.

Matt....WWE is nervous about burying Cena.   They don't want another Ultimate Warrior fiasco and really people aren't *that* into Rollins right now.  He's more annoying than he is good at being THEEE bad guy.  aka Sean Waltman/X-Pac/123 Kid.

I turn on "main event" because nothing is on and i'm going out for dinner in a few minutes....It's Becky Lynch versus Brie Bella....Oh man i could watch this all day. Depending on taste these are the 2 hottest women in the business. Though i also have a soft spot for Paige

A Paige/Brie/Becky triple threat match, i would make my wife leave the house

hopefully Cena will be OK by Summerslam. The kind of matches he's been putting on, having him in the ring with Rollins could be a great one....but i fear that they might have to be cautious with him. It would be too bad because Rollins lately hasn't gotten many chances to show how great he is in the ring.

My friends were talking too recently about how great the New Day has become. Big E is hilarious to watch during their entrances, and Xavier Woods's comments during matches always make me LOL more then anyone else. I feel like they should get the belts again, especially with the Usos coming back soon who are good guys.

I could listen to Xavier Woods doing ringside commentary all day

Anyone who says "it's fake" needs to google John Cena nose.

Right now.  Go ahead.  Good gravy that looks bad.

A good wrestler can have a good match and look good in the ring with anyone.  A great wrestler can make others look good.   That's what is so great about watching the truly great performers.   The raise the stock of their opponent.  I don't think Cena really does in a believable way.    Unfortunately most don't right now.

Seth Rollins, while being booked so weak in the ring, has been great the past few weeks with his Cena bashing on the mic. What's great is that this feud seems to be making him more likeable even as the premier heel in the company, because of how people feel towards Cena. He really has good charisma and delivery

Me and my friends were talking about the glory days of the Rock and Stone Cold...and the Rock's crossover appeal. Other then Rollins, i'm not sure they have anyone young right now with that potential other then him. I think within 1-2 years he's going to turn, cut the hair a bit and be the biggest babyface in the company. Probably end up in some movies too

It's too bad the old school fans are minority because with guys like Bray Wyatt, Kevin Owens, Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose, and Ziggler on the roster, I see visions of The Midnight Express, The Andersons, and Ric Flair v3.0....

All we need is a big fat guy who talks funny to tell us about eating pork & beans and dining with kings & queens and it could be Starrcade '87 all over again.

I agree with Jeff on the Rollings booking. I think he may be the best in there right now. I am not sure what they are doing with Dean Ambrose. Im guessing there will be a double cross with him and Reigns turning one of them heel. Not the biggest Wyatt fan. Dont know exactly what it is but just not a big fan.

I dont have the network so I dont get to catch NXT but from what I have read Finn Balor is supposed to be the next big thing. The one match with Zayn was good and Im guessing he will be back when healthy.

Balor is great but my concerns , as with Zayn , is that Vince likes big guys. Balor is not very big, I also don't think his body paint gimmick will go over well in WWE (Steve Austin said as much on his podcast).

But he's an exciting guy in the ring, and has the best entrance since the undertaker.

I think they can't turn Ambrose because he'd have to fight Reigns, and Ambrose would get cheered in that matchup even as a bad guy. They can't feed Reigns more boos

The whole "best friends forever" segments ctheyve been doing have been awkward tho

I dont know how big he is but is Rollins considered big. I know hes no Lesnar/Cena but he doesnt seem like that big guy build to me.

Yes the best friends thing is awkward. But maybe they are gonna turn Reigns heel. I keep reading they have done so much to build him up that turning him heel would be pointless.

What are they gonna do about Neville?? He was an NXT champ and now is fighting with Stardust? Seems like he would have gotten a bigger push. But like mentioned, he is a small guy. Ha they had a Smackdown taping here back in October and I hadnt gotten back into wrestling yet so I didnt know who everyone was. I went through my pics from the event and there was Neville.

I was talking to my wrestling friends at work today about Neville. I think he'll end up in a tag team. It makes the most sense for him right now since he isn't great at cutting promos and isn't a bit talker. I think if you put him with someone who could be the mouthpiece, they could be an exciting tag team and you could make him the tag team champion. It's tough to have a WWE champ or something, who is small and only so-so on the mic, i mean that just won't happen. Plus the tag team division is in shambles right now due to injuries

my theory is that Neville and Stardust might eventually tag together as a superhero type pair, once Stardust "believes" in heroes again, maybe because Neville wins their feud and convinces him. Cody is a great talker, and exciting in the ring. Neville/Cody could be tag champs tomorrow and they'd have more heat then the Prime-Time players. Cody's already been tag team champ but the singles scene is packed right now. Neville is fantastic in the ring (his match with Rollins is proof of that) but he needs someone to do the other stuff

Balor is small. He's smaller then Sami Zayn and Sami is only 6'0 and roughly 205, max 210lbs in real life. He's probably listed as more then that but in reality that's how big he is. And Balor is smaller then him

Rollins is a bit bigger, and much more cut

Yeah Reigns is a tough one too. The fans have been way too hard on him. He hasn't done anything wrong, other then just being pushed by the WWE for having the look and fans didn't think he deserved it, but that isn't his fault.

Reigns is actually quite good in the ring. He's a big guy, goes over the top rope, sells punishment really well (his laughing at Brock's suplexes at Wrestlemania was very very well done). But he's kind of awkward on the mic. I don't think he'll ever be the Rock like they want him to be. He doesn't have the timing or the command of the audience. You can see how good Rollins is already at this

I like Reigns a lot, he puts on way better matches then he gets credit for (he put on an exciting match with the big show....the big show for god's sake!). But i don't think he has the mic skills yet to get over with fans who have a bias against him

Reigns should be pushed as the guy. . Hopefully he can replace Cena with Merch Sales in the Next 18 months then we can have the Heel turn of Cena.

I think Reigns has gotten a lot better in ring over the past year. When he first arrived with the Shield he wasn't very good. Look back at some of those early matches and Rollins and Ambrose carried the team. Reigns was in the ring very little.

It's too bad that Cena has the U.S. title. They could put that on Reigns for awhile before putting him back in the big title picture.

Tag Team division is in shambles!! Nobody is really fun to watch. The New Day is ok I guess, they have their funny moments but I miss the old guys when the division was good. The New Age Outlaws, APA, Dudley Boyz, and so on. None of the teams, to me at least, have the IT factor like they did. So maybe him and stardust would work. I have only recently gotten back into watching it and only barely remember Cody from his Legacy days. I just dont know if I would like the Stardust character to keep going. Im not big on the gimmicks like that. Maybe turn him back to Cody and team with Neville.

Yea, Reigns is vastly improved in the ring as he spent "down time" down in Fla working with a few of the old Timers.

I agree 100% with Jeff that before he can really take it to the next level, he's gotta hone mic skills and become much more fluid before he will make a dent as a main cog in the machine.

Also a shout out to my former teammate/roomie Flyin Brian Pillman, who had his first "TV Match" with WWE(Then WWF) 18 years ago this week. Brian was an amazing individual, and I'm not speaking to his athletic abilities, which were second only to his drive. He was as loyal a Friend and Teammate as one could ever hope to have. He was the finest nose tackle(2-time 2nd Team Kodak/UPI AA) that I ever had in front of me(I was an ILB). He made my job so much easier.

The best "match" that I ever saw with Brian, and I had been getting together with him every time he or his troupe hit town since his early days with tag team partner Steve Austin(Hollywood Blondes), was in a local Burgh watering hole following one of his shows.. I met Brian in 1998 after the show and he, I and two other wrestlers went to a bar down the street from the hotel that they were staying in. We were having a nice time when Kurt Henning(Mr. Perfect) walked in.

Henning was a big boy, I'd say 6'4"-6'5", 260-270 with that long, stringy greasy lookin mane, lol.

Unbeknownst to me, apparently there was no love lost between Brian and Henning and it stemmed from The Four Horseman and Henning's apparent jealousy over Brian's appearance in WWF and his sudden rise.

Well, while Brian was "only" 5'10" tall, and while he got to 240-245 in college, he was 225-230 as a wrestler and cut to ribbons. Though he was listed at 6', he only hit that in his cowboy boots, lol. Brian, as Flyin Brian, was probably the finest and most fearless airial wrestler on the roster at the time as he was Hart trained in Canada, following a one year stint in the CFL. And more than anything, Brian had what I have always referred to as an "edge," and where as I can keep mine locked away, well, Brian's was on his sleeve, waiting for you to "touch" it, lol.

So, we were at one of those tall round tables that are large enough to basically set your drinks on and Henning stayed at the far end of the bar, by himself. Brian noticed him but said nothing. We did shots and Brian was telling a story about Ric Flair, and Henning, who had moved about 20' down the bar from the door/entrance to us in the middle, turned arounds and said, "hey Brie(no one called him this and he disliked this "nickname" and would say simply 'it's Brian or Pill')," so when Henning addressed him as such, I started paying attention.

Henning then said, "why don't you tell em about the time that Vince walked in on you and Ric," and there was more to it than that though for this board, that gets the gist of the general tone/content of his remark across. There was some jerk-off who was drinking next to Henning, not with anyone in our group or Henning who started laughing and said "You tell em Perfect," and as I looked at him, Brian tore into Henning, getting inside and taking him down, also taking another guy who was to the right of Henning down also. Brian jumped to his feet and delivered probably a half dozen kicks to Henning's head and upper torso and the one wrestler with us, a black guy, stepped back and out from my left and I saw the idiot who had addressed Henning as "Perfect" turn his Coors Light long neck upside down, pouring what was left on the floor and well, before that bottle was long neck up, Junior was on the floor, trying to crawl under another table as I polished his chest and head with my boots. Somehow, someone had jumped in behind me and I felt a fist to the back of my head and I dropped spun and launched myself into this guy and I took him and myself right on top of Brian, who was now on top of Henning and pummeling him, as I peppered my boi. This is taking much longer to type than it took in real time and I remember the black wrestler grabbing me and saying "gotta go, gotta go" over and over as once I was up he did the same with Brian.

Well, we beat it for the door though obviously, everyone knew who was who(not me, lol) and I get a call from Brian about a month later and apparently the bar owner somehow got ahold of McMahon, and when all was said and done, He cut a check to the bar owner for $10k, lol

I remember askin the black wrestler "why didn't you grab a partner," and he said "Bro, I'm on parole," LMAO

The funny thing is the next afternoon, I'm standing on the first tee at the club, in khakis and polo shirt with my golfing buddies thinking "my what a difference a day makes," lmao.

A funny(well sorta ;) ) follow-up~

I never partied downtown so it's a few years later, like 2001-02 and I walk into this same bar after a concert at the Arena and as my Buds and I saddle up to the bar, I see this guy, who I recognized as the owner, from behind the bar,  almost running the length of the bar, screaming, and I mean yelling "You son of a b***, get out of my bar, NOW," LMAO.

I didn't even say a peep, I just raised my hand as in "No probs, I understand" and backed out of the bar. Well, obviously my Buds followed me and as they were my golfing friends, they couldn't understand the owner's reaction, LMAO. They asked and I just replied that it was a another world and a lifetime ago but the man had a long memory, lol.

Different friends and different worlds, the story of my life, lmao :)

RIP Bro I miss Ya so much :)

Richard

Yep. Absolutley!!

And Brian never made it back from the auto accident, either physically or mentally. I went to stay with him and well, while we could get a little wild, I had a very normal life that was my everyday life and Brian's was, well, we were in two different worlds and not to get into his personal life, though I'm sure that you know most of it because it was even included in the shows, but he was very lonely and felt his world was crumbling if he could not retain his prior level of performance which the shattered ankle and fusion basically guaranteed that he would not. My mother even talked to him and he promised her that he would come back to Pittsburgh in December and spend the month and my Father was going to take him to the University to have his ankle reexamined however he never made it.

He passed in October.

But you're so right Bro, he was gifted and I got misty eyed typin that post above cuz we'd toast to growing old and telling these amazing lies to our Grandkids, lol!!

Thanks for the post :)

All the Best,
Richard
