Whether they improve your accuracy and distance or not is negligible enough to be pure fluff, but what they don't advertise on the packaging is that these things are UNBREAKABLE. I have been playing ONE tee out of my bag of 50 for the past month and it is not even bent. I gave one to a friend and he has been using one tee for a couple of weeks too. For $7 I have enough tees to last me the forseeable future.
I'm still on my 2nd tee after about 10 rounds. I didn't lose the first one, just gave it to the guy I was playing with. At this rate I'll never have to buy tees ever again. Other than that it works like any other tee, it's not going to add/rob any yardage from your drive.
That's funny, I thought the epoch's were brittle when I played them. They were definitely thicker that the Zero Friction's that I play now and were a pain in the kiester to tee up when the ground was just a bit hard, usually during the summer months. I broke maybe 5 or 6 tees rather quickly but have only broken maybe 2 of the Zero Friction's in 6 months of playing them. And to be fair, I only used the Epoch's and Zero Friction's with the driver, as I use the small 1" tees for par 3's and 3 wood shots.
Only Tee i'll spend money on. I ran into one bag that was surprisingly weak and was clipping the tops off with my driver. Hasn't happened again, they last forever and can be bent back into proper shape. Love em.
They wont go into hard ground. They bend, and I always seem to clip the top off of them when I tee up on a par 3. My son wanted a bag. So we split one, I gave him back the half that I had after one round.
Buying golf tees is a foreign concept to me. Between freebies at courses, at tournaments, and finding intact new tees left by another player, I haven't bought a golf tee in years. Who cares if they break, there are plenty more where that one came from.
As far as a golf tee that will improve your game, no one really believes that, do they?
What a waste of money. I have a old one that I have had for 6 months. So I bought a bag at Golfsmith. Every single one has broken. Doesn't matter if I use a wood or a iron. Don't waste your money.
Amazing the experiences people have with them. I almost never break them... not sure how you could break one with an iron unless you are using a 3in tee 90% in the ground for your iron shot. The short ones are great for Irons, I have NEVER broken one of those in 3 years. The longer ones go in the ground (IMO) easier than the zero frictions, and they are MUCH easier to tee up than the ZF tees. If those ZFs aren't perfectly straight, you wont get a ball to stay on them. The other thing I don't like about the ZFs is how they spring back and fly like 20 feet behind you from your tee shot. I have heard several people from our shop say that one.
Good: They go into the ground and keep the ball on top like a normal tee, a lot easier than the Zero Frictions which tend to bend and the ball doesn't stay on top very easy.
Bad: A driver tee will last me about 3 or 4 holes tops before it snaps at the ground. Not really much different from a wood tee.
By far the best tee on the market. I've broken maybe 2 in the last 50 rounds. I have had a few of the long ones bend but the bent back east enough. Only tee I get upset about losing
Zero friction for me. Don't break often. Used 2 tees in past 8 rounds. Agree that are a bit difficult to put in the ground in summer months. I've just cut three for iron shots and they have been great. No head snapping here in Wales!!!
