I reached out to support and they said this is the last month the SP4 stuff will be in the boxes. The production of this box was 3 months ago so they couldn't stop it. Support did guarantee that there will be no more and that the next months box should be very good.

I agree that production couldn’t have been stopped, but they didn’t need to send these items out in the boxes. A more honorable thing to do, would be to put all your SP4 crap at steep discounts in the mulligan store and put name brand stuff in the boxes, you know, because you agree that’s what your customers want.

EvJr34 - I really hope that's the case for the sake of truth and its not a customer service response to keep business flowing.  I feel like that's the response I would get in past dealing and nothing would ever come of it.  They just keep promising bigger and better along with sending nice brochures within the package to save face.  I am very interested in the next few months packages.  

For what its worth, I 110% enjoyed my packages within the first 6 months of membership.  After the honey moon stage the items I started to receive in my packages were IMO, garbage.  They started to pile up and the membership became undesirable.

I agree that the boxes have really sucked the past few months with SP4 brand items, but I have to say the SP4 pants are pretty nice

I received my Loud/Wild box, with the blue SP4 pants, and the grey SP4 belt. I actually think that both, the pants and the belt, are pretty nice. I like both of them, and will wear them. So, I'm pretty satisfied with this month's box, overall. But, I will say that I expected more than 1 pair of pants and a belt, due to the fact that they claim $100 retail value. No chance those 2 items reach $100 retail value. Definitely worth my discounted box price, but they should have had another item in there, if they want to claim it being $100 retail value.

Another pretty fair box in my opinion. Past boxes have included similar notes promising changes and a  better box next time. I think the last one was in Septembers or October. but yet again another SP4 branded box.

The program is fun I enjoy being surprised and it's not like I rely on it for my wardrobe, however I feel the program continues to be less than advertised. The program advertising shows  Brand name merchandise yet the boxes continue to show up with made for SP4 and SP4 branded clothing.   The mulligan program has been difficult, I rarely have an opportunity to exchange for something different due to my size being sold out except for the exact same merchandise I am sending back.  I have been the guy the continues to hold on month to month in preparation for that box that wows me, but I think it may be time to give up on it. One more month maybe.

I am very let down with the box again this month. I have now received a belt for 3 months straight and this month I got 2.

Looks like my last month unless they severely discount a box for me

I was hesitant to cancel but kind of glad I did.  Sorry you guys are having no luck..  shame, kind of a good idea but seems they are blowing it.

I’ve been a harsh critic of SP4 for the past several months. And i wasn’t looking forward to getting these pants. However, i really like them. I received the blue and grey ones in my executive box, which i didn’t appreciate due to it being 2 belts and 2 pants (I’ve gotten probably 6-7 belts by now). I tried the pants on tho, and they are really nice and fit perfectly. Much better than the last pair of SP4 pants i received roughly a year ago. I’ll actually keep these. Wish the belt was better, but whatever. I have one box of rewards left, so I’ll be ending next month

I love the pants that I got.  My only complaint is that I get 2 boxes and instead of getting 2 pair of pants, I got one pair and a SP4 shirt from 2 months ago...that I already have!  You would think they would be smart enough to realize that if someone gets 2 boxes each month, giving something from 2 months ago risks being a duplicate.  I will complain tomorrow and they will give me a free mulligan but its annoying to have to go through it.

with all these coupon codes it's no surprise the quality is low

I'm guessing I'll be a one and done with a junky belt or two as evidence of a bad decision

I don't have a financial stake in the program as I don't golf enough times that I need multiple pants and polos than already in my inventory, but I have to say from a psychological standpoint I find it fascinating how many people who aren't happy but still giving their money with hopes that next month will be better. Obviously there are plenty of people who enjoy it, but the number of people in these pages who aren't happy but willing to pay out another month and another month after SP4 swears they are going to change is like being in an abusive relationship or have Stockholm syndrome. It really is a great case study.

the pants from this month are great.  i have 2 pair of addidas pants and if these didn't say SP4 on them, I'd swear they were adidas pants.

For all of you on the fence about cancelling your subscription, I encourage you to just do it.  Each month you think, "maybe this will be a good one" but it never happens.

During the five months I was subscribed most of the stuff I received was SP4 or related, and it's almost like they don't even keep track of what they sent you.  During a three month span I received two grey polo shirts that are nearly identical.  Only difference is the brand.  I was conservative with my package choice, yet received a flat bill trucker hat that I literally laughed at.  Also got a pair of bright turquoise shorts that IMOP belong in the loud box.  Including t-shirts in packages?  WTF?!?

The concept is good (getting a box of golf stuff every month is, in theory, really fun), but it's obvious they don't care about their customers.  If they did they wouldn't be desperately trying to peddle their own crap, sending nearly identical items and other stuff that doesn't fit the profile you selected.  Either that, or the person they selected to pick items for the boxes has horrible taste.  Either way it's a losing proposition, and they're banking on the fact that most people won't put forth the effort to return items and use the mulligan store.

I still have two months of discounted boxes remaining. I did get rid of the executive box as that doesn’t seem to do anything but give you a single extra item at a cost of $34. Once my discounts are over, I’ll be cancelling.

Cancelled after 4 months.  Never received not even one top name brand. Lots of short par 4 and others I havent heard of and I tend to be pretty up to date on brands.  Tried to cancel after first box, but the company kept promising the next one, the next one.  I finally had heard enough. Hows it go?...Fool me once, shame on you, etc

In comparison, In the last 6 months, I have received 2 Callaway tops,nike golf shorts,nike golf pants, and an adidias pullover for less than 100 bucks total.....at Marshalls.

I started this 2 months ago because I got a 20% off code so I figured why the heck not. I got my first box, which I chose the Executive Subscription, (November) and I received a pair of swim trunks (useless in MN in Nov.), a blue ShortPar4 polo which I will most likely wear, and a ShortPar4 belt. Not sure how all this adds up to over $160, but whatever.

I then contacted ShortPar4 via chat on their website and simply asked them why I got swim trunks in November? They know where I live, so why would they send me something so useless? Long story longer, they offered me 50% off my next 3 boxes, so I figured it might get better..and they said they were going to push Under Armour in Dec., Puma and Adidas in the coming months.

So a couple weeks ago, I received my December box (Executive again) and was again, not impressed. I actually got a box this time, so I was thinking something good was about to pop out! Wrong again! I got 1 Matte Grey 1/2 Zip pullover that was Heather Grey (?), 1 Matte Grey 1/2 Zip Pullover that was Charcoal Grey, and a peach colored Matte Grey polo (which I'll probably wear). Why the h*** would you send 2 of the same item that is just different colors?!?!?!?!?! I was ready to cancel my subscription on the spot.

Complaint/Question #2: Contacted ShortPar4 again, and was looking for an answer. I didn't want a refund, or another discounted box; I just wanted to know why I got 2 of the same items. Their response was an apology and that I could exchange it for something of equal value, and another offer of a discounted box. When I told them I was already receiving discounted boxes, they said to have a box for free. Well I'm not going to pass up a free box and they hooked me again.

Has anyone else had either of these 2 scenarios happen to them? I have a free box for January and a 50% off box for February that I still may use, but I know for a fact I haven't received $160 worth of items in either two boxes and am not going to waste my money on false promises.

It’s unfortunate that you didn’t like the Matte Grey stuff. I loved it. Ended up getting every polo and pullover through the mulligan shop. It’s probably the best stuff i have received in nearly 2 years of being a subscriber.

As for the duplications, etc. unfortunately, they clearly don’t have a method for tracking things. I’ve received 3 of the exact same pair of adidas pants, and the first pair i received, i Mulligan’d.

Ive also received at least 3/4 of the exact same polo just in different colors. The puma and Travis Mathews ones come to mind immediately.

I’ve been on discounted boxes all but one month of my 23 month subscription. I have enough for January to get my last discounted and final box. They won’t be able to keep me as a customer regardless.

(modus operandi).  You call/complain and they just beg for you to stay and offer you free crap/discounted boxes.  Fast forward 4 months, you're still in the same boat complaining even with free boxes/discounted boxes.  IMHO, they got to big and went cheap for a better bottom line.  I remember getting Travis Mathew, Adidas, Matte Grey, Nike, nice socks, etc....and I was pumped thinking well worth the $40 a month.  Now you get junk they bough at mass for pennies on the dollar pawning it off by labeling it "Executive Box".  CANCEL!!!! Just my opinion though.....

Complaint/Question #2: Contacted ShortPar4 again, and was looking for an answer. I didn't want a refund, or another discounted box; I just wanted to know why I got 2 of the same items. Their response was an apology and that I could exchange it for something of equal value, and another offer of a discounted box. When I told them I was already receiving discounted boxes, they said to have a box for free. Well I'm not going to pass up a free box and they hooked me again.

Has anyone else had either of these 2 scenarios happen to them? I have a free box for January and a 50% off box for February that I still may use, but I know for a fact I haven't received $160 worth of items in either two boxes and am not going to waste my money on false promises.

It’s unfortunate that you didn’t like the Matte Grey stuff. I loved it. Ended up getting every polo and pullover through the mulligan shop. It’s probably the best stuff i have received in nearly 2 years of being a subscriber.

As for the duplications, etc. unfortunately, they clearly don’t have a method for tracking things. I’ve received 3 of the exact same pair of adidas pants, and the first pair i received, i Mulligan’d.

Ive also received at least 3/4 of the exact same polo just in different colors. The puma and Travis Mathews ones come to mind immediately.

I’ve been on discounted boxes all but one month of my 23 month subscription. I have enough for January to get my last discounted and final box. They won’t be able to keep me as a customer regardless.

It's not that I don't like the Matte Grey stuff, I'm actually wearing a 1/2 zip right now haha. I think that it's very comfortable and nice for the mild fall/spring golfing conditions in MN. I would just think that the person who makes out these boxes would have more of a mindset that maybe the customer doesn't want 2 of the same items, even if it is a different color.
