Dustin and Brooks phone convo: approx 9 months ago.

Dustin: "Dude, can you believe it!!  I'm sleeping with the daughter of a hockey legend!!  Our little boy might turn out to be dumb as a rock, but he gonna be able to golf that ball, I'm telling ya!"

Brooks:  "Please.  My girlfriend survived shark attacks in a tornado- 5 times now!  They've got live video of it on YouTube if you wanna check it out."

(Silence as Dustin looks at YouTube vids)

Dustin:  "YOU ARE THE MAN!!  You are one tough hombre to hang with that!  I want my kids to be tough like you.  You think if you get some free time, you could come over and impregnate Paulina for me?"

Brooks:  "No problem, bro."

Dustin:  "Yo Paulina, check out Brooksie's girl surviving all these shark attacks, yo!"  (hangs up)

I don't think DJ know what "impregnate" is.  He'd just ask Brooks to knock her up

One thing that bugs me about the titleist adapters --- I've had stripped screws on two of the FW versions (OEM). That should not happen.

The FW adapters for titleist after 910 are barely noticeable. The 1W adapters are still a bit large, but you just get used to it. I don't even notice it anymore.

A lil girlfriend swap MIGHT be going on with DJ and BK. So, JJ might not be wrong.

OK, I want to know - why do you hate all adjustable drivers?
Primarly, I think you're introducing a mechanical component into a place that doesn't need one.

We're taking a big old swing with a shaft attached to  a clubhead. I want that connection to be as simple as possible. If' I'm building a bridge, I don't want a girder welded to a bracket and a bracket screwed into a brace and the brace riveted to another girder.

I want a girder welded to a girder.

And, I want a shaft glued into a club head. I don't want a shaft glued into an adapter and then that adapter screwed BY ME into into a club head.

Supposedly, it adds weight there. Personally, I think it's ugly to look at. But, I just don't like the "feel" of it.

When I look at that Titleist adapter, it feels like I have little plastic "tongues" resisting each other. There's pulling, and twisting, and torquing. I have screws coming out of my Caddy-Tek. When I put screws into my bicycle or put pipes together, I grease them, and tape them. I don't understand how a screw in a driver head won't loosen after I've hit it 5 years straight (like my G15). I shouldn't have to be concerned about that.

I think that adjustable drivers are great for tinkering and were originally great for marketing (Oh, you slice the ball? Just shut the face!!! Oh, your ball is too low, just open the loft!!)

If I was a pro, with all the fittings possible at my whim, I'd get fitted, then have them make me a bonded head.

Pease don't build any bridges cause there is never girder to girder without a break for expansion lol

Yikes.

Made it to CT today without stopping, or hitting traffic, or having any meltdowns from either the 2 or 4 year old.

I would ordinarily say that they always over-exaggerate the warnings...but I put a really good coat of quick wax on the car yesterday so its an absolute lock that it pours tonight. Or, golf ball sized hail.

Dew sweeper round at Richland Golf Club (formerly Hollow Creek) this morning.  Pleasantly surprised at the conditions, fairways and greens in great shape. Greens have quite a bit of character and roll nicely.  I would recommend giving the place a try as the rates are very reasonable particularly given the great shape.  Easy 50 minute drive from Ellicott City.  Black Hog for lunch.  Not a bad day.

Played in a B Team match against Bretton Woods on Saturday.  The way it works in Maryland is you have a minimum combined index between the partners (ours was 12.0....we were like 15 combined I believe.  Both 7.somethings), and you play a regular nassau.  Front Back Overall for a point each.  Straight Up.  No strokes.

The guys we played ended up being like a 10.5 and 11.  And they both had off days.  And my partner and I both shot 74 gross on our own ball (best ball 68).  And we won all three points.  And it wasn't close.  And I kind of felt bad.

I've never shot gross 68 best ball before.  That's crazy.  My partner made 4 birdies...I think I had two.  Bretton Woods is an easy golf course, there's no other way to say it.  Lots of room, Bermuda grass, huge greens which rolled true but weren't fast.  Just a day to score.  I hit a ton of greens, but every time I hit a bad drive, I had a shot.  The complete opposite of Norbeck.

Then I followed the 74 (37/37) with a 49 on the front yesterday.  Then followed up the 49 with a 39.  Golf.

Guess our weekend projects will get tested. Got new gutters installed on Friday and girlfriend and I built a creek bed along one side of the house on Saturday and Sunday. Want to test your relationship? Get 4000 pounds of stone and 30 bags of mulch delivered and spend the weekend with your significant other (sometimes this means two men Kent) building a creek bed in 80+ degree weather.
