Lowest was 68 at my home course growing up. par 71. I've been 32 on a side at least 5 times and only once shot even on the other side. Damn demons.

My best rounds were 2 of my favorites. 76 at Riviera CC with 2 doubles from Caddy mis-clubbing me. and my other fave, a 73 at Firestone South CC.

Shameful.  By the way Bethpage Black is a muni.
I think you should re read what he wrote.  And he doesn't need to brag he is just that good...

I have been a "lowish" single digit handicap for quite a while, but never broke par. I had shot even par multiple times, and always seemed to choke down the stretch of my good rounds. Two years ago I finally did it, I shot a 69 on my home course, which is a par 72 from about 6,800 yards. After I did it once, I did it 3 or 4 more times over the next few years. Tough to break through but once I did it the first time, it seemed easier to deal with.

My best round was a 69 (-2) this past November playing with my Dad.  I had been close to shooting in the 60s on a handful of occasions but couldn't close it out.   Made a 15 footer for birdie for 69.

My best was a -4 68 on the course I grew up playing. A very up and down round as I had 2 double bogeys and 2 bogeys. I believe I played the par 5's -6 that day and was putting out of my mind. It was the first time I had ever shot under par for 18 holes and it took me over 20 years of playing before it happend!

Very Well Played!!

Bro, have ya ever noticed in sports and in life that the average and s***** Players, Teams & Organizations never get "lucky?"

The Best get "Lucky!!"

It's simple really-

Luck is nothing more than the intersection point of preparation & Performance....

Continued success my Friend :)

Ingrain the great swings and shots into your memory and visualize the swings & the shots when you're on the course.

Continued success my Friend :)

Shameful.  By the way Bethpage Black is a muni.
He's really one of the Classiest Guys on this board and while I will not speak for him, he probably was only speaking for himself and the bar that he has set for himself-

As my Teacher always said Regarding bragging...

It ain't braggin if ya do it, it's just restating facts...

That someone else would be insecure enough to think that he was in fact diminishing either players or munis, and I am not referring to you at all because one, You're a Player and #2, You post a lot of excellent stuff on the board and I respect your thoughts and opinions, I just happen to be on the other side of the table on this one, however that's on them and their issue, not Blade.

He's a Gentleman & a Player, and that's as good as it gets in this game, regardless of the level

Very Well Played & Continued Success BM :)

69 twice. Very different rounds, but very fun and exciting. First was all pars and 3 birdies, my only bogey free round ever. Second was a good start turned roller coaster with 5 birdies and two doubles on the back nine to finish -3.

Golf is awesome, wish I had my rounds GoPro'd so I could watch some highlights and see what I did right.

Tourney-65(2), Fox Chapel Golf Club, Par 71(Blacks),
73.9/135 6870yds, site of 2013-14 Champions Tour Players Championship// Pittsburgh Field Club, Par 70(Blacks), 73/137, 6930yds, my home club and Co-Host of 2003 US Men's Amateur with Oakmont CC

66-69, I don't remember exact numbers but quiet a few-

**Later Ed: 04/20/15, 04/20/15-> as I reread the above sentence, it appears arrogant, and I know what I say about that, lol, however it was not my intent to be flippant, I just don't remember. I'd say 4-5 66's, mostly on Par 70's, and actually a handful of  67's, and a bunch of 68-69's. I wasn't trying to be cocky, I just never kept count. Actually, there would be nothing to be cocky about cuz while I was shooting those numbers, Guys like Blade, My former BB Partner & Nathan Smith were throwing 62-64s up, lol. A whole different world, lol.  Thanks. RP II :)

Like others, my best round in 2012(my last playing) was not my lowest that year(67, -4) but a +1, 71 that I had over at Oakmont(77.5/147) in the Quarter-Finals of the W Pa Inter-Club Match Play Championship(Victory)...From the Blacks, it plays a Par 70, versus a par 71 for all other tees, and that day it played 7160yds.(versus "US Open" Tees of 7380+yds), I won 1 up-

Have a nice weekend Gals & Gents :)

Fairways & Greens My Friends,
Richard

74 on recently aerated greens. Went into 17 at +1. Short par 4 down hill, drove the green but was about 60 feet away. First putt bounced around and came up about 20 feet short, blasted second putt past by 12 feet, missed the come back for a 4 putt bogie going into an EASY par 5 18th.  Parred it for +2 74.
