I was able to test the x-stiff fubuki 63g about 2 weeks now, and the result is smoothest shaft that kicks a ton shaft that i have ever used. i did compare to my favor whiteboard 73x and hands down fubuki is the "bomb", i still like the flight traj of whiteboard but the fubuki wasn't that bad. i really can't express how awesome this shaft is, the kick is so powerful i had out drove my whiteboard about 10-15 yards. Whiteboard's dispersion was little bit tighter with little less spin, but i might have to dish out some cash for fubuki 73g. If you're looking for tight flight with smoothest feeling shaft, look no further try fubuki, don't take my word for it.
No wonder phil was bomb'n his drivers.

It would be GREAT if this site could put a good Trackman-based report together on the top new Fujis, Mitsus, Matrix, UST, Aldilla, and a few of the most popular others.
With the numerous new shafts introduced by all the companies lately, it is difficult if not impossible for your WRX membership to know exactly where they stack up against each other regarding spin and launch angle.
I for one believe that most of these high-end shafts will be incredibly close to each other regarding ballspeed numbers, but there are clearly big differences in spin and launch that can be identified quickly and easily by using a Trackman, some interchangeable heads, and a few good players to do the swinging.
A very informative post like the one I am thinking of would NOT be hyping one shaft as superior to another and should be appreciated by all the manufacturers for being focused solely on specific performance characteristics like launch angle and spin (using the same head & player), and I believe would prove that all the top shafts have ballspeeds that are relatively close to one another. We all know now that every player needs a different launch angle and spin rate to optimize their differing clubhead speeds, so ALL the shafts tested would have a group of players that would benefit from the knowledge that the particular shaft would "fit" them and help get the best out of their driver.
Players on this site, and seemingly everwhere, are desperately in need of actual comparison data regarding launch and spin so that they can use the locally available vector systems (combined with a legit report like the one I amm envisioning) to better optimize their own drivers.
I know this would take some work, but I have no doubt that the results would be greatly appreciated by everyone and would further enhance this site's already excellent reputation for ahead-of-the-curve and objective equipment information.
I have a guy near Houston with a Trackman and the interchangeable Nak head system, and a couple plus mini tour player friends that could do the swinging, but my buddy (Russell at Performance Golf in Friendswood, Texas) would not have all the latest-greatest shafts for the test.
Let me/us know if something like this could be possible, and what I can do to help. Not sure where you are located, but I know that there are plenty of Houston-area WRX members that would pitch in.
I think this would be a great "special report" for the coming summer. Let me know what you think.
Thanks for the great work.
