There is a video that I have found in the past of a player on the PGA tour who attempted a putt and as soon as he putt he realized it was bad and tossed his putter into the air. He was unable to catch it and then dove for it which caused him to knock his ball out of the way and looked like a giant Idiot.

WHO WAS THIS PLAYER???????

Thanks in advance.

P.S. I know that Johnny Miller made a reference to it a couple of months ago, and this is when I founed the video on youtube. Now I can't remember the guys name.

It was actually Paul Azinger I think that mentioned it during telecast.

2 stroke penalty for deflecting your moving ball with your equipment. Then probably another 2 strokes for deflecting the moving ball by the player.

That's my guess

Yeah wonder whats his final score

I had an incident 3 weeks ago. Was playing in a strokeplay comp with a guy, he lipped out his par putt, was so pissed with himself that he whacked his ball about 20m to the fringe of the green (it was a big green). I politely reminded him that it was strokeplay and all putts must be holed out. He looked lost for a while after realising it and proceeded to play from them. a simple 5 turned into a 9!

Hmm... wonder if he could have guaranteed himself a 7 by taking an unplayable after hitting the ball to the fringe...
