Found this nice 001 on the bay in very good condition with what feels like a brand new mid slim 2.0. Excited to roll it! :golfer:
I've had mine in the bag for two years now and that's not going to change anytime soon.
Me too. Unless Scotty makes a Newport 2 with a sight dot, which doesn't seem likely at all, I don't see myself ever getting rid of mine. Even if Scotty did do it, it be tough to beat the method.

I've had my 001 for about 6-7 years now and it's still in the bag. I've played around with some other models (Midnight 006, Origin B1-01, Scotty PP Newport 2) and it just stays around. I love the feel. Love the look. Love the weight. I had mine customized by Potters Putting a few years ago too and that certainly helps it stay in the bag.

That looks sharp! I'm about to send my Method Matter B2-05 off for some work. I bought a copper insert for it a while back and haven't gotten around to doing anything with it. Going to have the black stripped and finished a darker silver, some engraving, paint, and the copper insert installed.

Yeah Kevin did a great job. He nailed exactly what I was trying to accomplish, which is to make it look like the work came straight from Nike/The Oven. I wish he was still doing this type of work, but I haven't been able to get in touch with him for quite a while.

This is going to almost have the look of a Scotty Tei3. Be curious how the feel changes. Any other work being done? Maybe repaint or anything?

Here is the insert sitting in the black head. It does look a lot like a TeI3. I like the idea of the Nike putter that looks like the TeI3 or Button Back with a long neck.

I didn't want to permanently put the insert into the putter with this black finish that doesn't hold up all that well. Jeremy at the Putter Spa is going to refinish it to a bead blasted satin finish. The paint fill will be mostly white with a little photo blue. And I have some engraving being done beforehand that will be a surprise :) The head weight will end up being about 365 with the copper insert. Going with a little heavier SuperStroke grip to counter the heavier head weight.

Nice! I think that's going to look pretty sweet. Make sure to post some shots after the work. I can definitely envision more of a button back look once it's bead blasted.

that looks phenomenal as is, but the bead blasted should hold up better over time for sure. let us know how the insert feel is. I've got an old method matter I could possibly see going down this route with.

I like the black/copper look too, but another reason I wanted to have it refinished is to get rid of the smoke/camo looking print on the sole. It should look a lot cleaner after the re-finish. The copper insert is only $20 on ebay + the cost of the epoxy/adhesive. It wouldn't take a ton of work to put it on one without refinishing.

what didn't work for you? I hit mine at the range for the first time a couple nights ago. I get less distance, but i attribute that to old-school lofts in the VP's. I don't consider myself a good striker - terrible at best lol!, but man....I was able to work the ball both ways in way's I've never seen myself do. I love the feedback i get vs the vfp's but as forgiving as they are, you definitely notice loss in distance.

they're just so pretty that I don't want to game them. lol

You wouldn't say you're more punished for distance with your butter knives than with your fly pros? maybe I need to meet up with you at the range and hit your pros

the VP's are definitely a club shorter than my vfp's on equally good strikes. I notice more loss on bad feeling strikes on the VP than the vfp. but considering they're blades, I feel the loss is not as bad as I would expect.

I really wish this Vapor Pro would have worked out for me. Feels, looks and sounds sooooo good. I just cannot make this bad boy work.

what didn't work for you? I hit mine at the range for the first time a couple nights ago. I get less distance, but i attribute that to old-school lofts in the VP's. I don't consider myself a good striker - terrible at best lol!, but man....I was able to work the ball both ways in way's I've never seen myself do. I love the feedback i get vs the vfp's but as forgiving as they are, you definitely notice loss in distance.

they're just so pretty that I don't want to game them. lol

I am referring to the driver. I adore my VPC's.. just cannot make the Driver work for me.

nike and their names....lol

Could’ve sworn I saw a wtb on here yesterday from the shark shootout for him and he had zero Nike clubs in the bag anymore; which is a bummer as he was a holdout.

Those pictures are from the GolfWRX photo threads from the Shark (QBE) Shootout

He had been using a Miura set briefly, so that may have been the WITB post from October that you saw

Pulled the insert out of my Method Matter B2-05 last night and getting it sent off for work today.

Man I miss my Vapor Pro driver.  Such a solid driver.

I just cannot find a shaft that matches up with it. I've tried three different ones and cannot find the right match. Thinking about going with something light weight as a last ditch effort.

It is just hard to find shafts with Nike tips at all.

For me it was the Matrix White Tie 60. Just seemed to be the perfect combo.  Still kick myself for selling that one off. Ugh.

Does the B2-01 with no sightline have the Oven serial number?  Does the no siteline head have the same look and mill marks as the OTR ones?

no it has a CHxxxx serial  my retail (custom order 350g weight) has CDxxxx  serial

Same milling marks, only difference i can feel is the no sight line is the sole feels rougher like it almost didn't go a final round of sanding/polishing. The face/grooves feel rougher/deeper I'll need a feeler gauge to check if it is deeper but it does feel rougher like a wedge.

Putter was weighted at the oven? Had similar weight sticker on my O serial number vpf 4 iron
