Hi Guys,

Who do you think will win the Walker Cup?

The Americans have a strong team but I really feel that the GB & I Team will fair better at County Down.

I played it 2 weeks ago and it was increadibly beautiful but very difficult!! I just feel that better preperation and some local knowledge will prove to be the difference.

I just wondered what you guys thought?

The American team arrived last Friday and played 5+ practice rounds preparing so they will know the course fairly well. As far as the fans and the course/conditions go the Europeans do have the advantage.
As talent and national experience goes the Americans are superior.
Hopefully the matches are close and everyone is treated to some great golf and an unforgetable tournament experience!
Go Team USA!!!

RCD is the sort of course that [I]everyone[/[ will struggle on. The advantage the GB&I have is that Rory McIlroy and Jonny Caldwell are from that area so no doubt will have played that course numerous times before hand in competitions, which could prove vital. I think GB&I will just sneak it, they have a few superstars in Saltman and McIlroy

i think both teams are talented! it is a very difficult looking course. Let the best team win and everyone compete with skill and be a gentleman of the game!
