Good chance I will be moving to Atlanta in the next 60 days and need some info on country clubs. Gonna live in either Roswell, Alpharetta, dunwoody, suwanee, or duluth. What are great clubs in those areas. Looking for solid practice facilities, tennis and to be in great shape.
Thanks for the help

It really depends on how much money you have....
Some of the good ones are Peachtree, Sugarloaf, Atl. Athletic, St. Ives, CC of the South, River Club....
A decent club in Duluth is Berkley Hills, it has a new range, but I think they are selling off one of there 9's. Another in Alpharetta is Trophy Club.

For pure golf....Golf Club of Georgia, two 18 hole courses completely different and pristine conditions. Arthur Hills design, considers it his masterpiece. Heath Slocum just joined out there to add to the list of tour golfers, aspiring tour players, and athletes that play out there. I do not like the layout, but Hawks Ridge is another one to consider.

yeah, can't go wrong with the big name places that have been mentioned...
I believe White Columns is the sleeper of the group though...not quite the name as AAC or some of the others, but solid as it gets!
Not sure about club amenities at any of those places as I've only pretty much paid attention to golf the few times I've played them...
It really depends on where you live--I'd rather join somewhere super close to my house than splitting hairs over which club is nicer but possibly further away--just my opinion.

I believe it is Troy Matteson's home club too
