Must be 18 years of age to view!   These are one of my all-time favorite blades...going to get them refurbished...$80/club completely redone...1-PW.

Checking in, I have to hang it up for the next month or so, remember when I fractured a rib like last year or year before, I woke up the other week and it was hard to breathe, apparently a torn intercostal muscle is a golf related injury I am prone to.  I have read as much as I can on it and it appears it is not the mat hitting in my garage, but all the driver practice I was doing and hard follow through that does it.  Major bummer as it is so long to heal and so easy to jump back in thinking it is ok only to set you back weeks.  My wife said it looked like I was swinging really hard one of the nights she was hanging with me and I was hitting driver, 2 thoughts were duh it is driver, and hmmm, I think I go at it harder than I should and that can cause a lot of my driver issues.....she said it is noticeable difference to my other clubs.  I think I will work on a more fluid and tempo based drvierswing when I can hit again.  Oddly, in the experimenting, a smooth center hit driver goes far enough, but so hard to not mentally try to go at it, especially in garage with no consequence.

I didn't go to doctor this time because I know the feeling and know the injury, and the answer is only one from torn muscle to fracture, rest.  It is starting to feel better and I am thinking about hitting wedges in a couple of weeks.  Out of curiosity has anyone else here ever experienced right (dominant side) rib injury from golf?  I also read once it happens you are prone.  Everything I read mirrors my experience.

Thats tough Big.  I never experienced it from golf but from tennis.  I laid off of golf and tennis for four years for grad school with an occasional round or hitting session but never went hard.  It's good now though and haven't experienced it in a while.  When it first happened I thought I was having a heart attack but knew it wasn't cause it only hurt when I took full breaths, bent a little or going side to side.  During that time I did practice wedge shots and half shots so I think as long as you don't go full for awhile you will be fine.  Hope you feel better soon man.
It only hurts once, except golf it hurts a lifetime

The Conductor 41CX heads arrived this am. They are quite nice. Only #6 looks like it got range time. Aside from really minor chatter they look new.
Solid eBayer was a pro and he threw in two Nicklaus fairway heads that came from the Tour Dept. Strong #3 and railed up #5. They're gorgeous and I'm thinking AD TP shafts on these would be sweet.

Spec wise they are near identical to my SZ's so SS S400's would be a great fit however I'm thinking Shamada's and since they are so mint it might be worth the expense. Real happy.

Does anyone have any experience or feedback on the TEE CBX blades? I love the looks but missed the TEE demo day at my local range. I really donít need more clubs but they have me intrigued.

I was told there were only 1500 sets of the Wilson Fg Tour 100s made. 500 x the past 3 years.

Just an interesting approach on what Wilson thought of those commemorative blades.

We have a Wilson Staff demo day at our club at the end of the month. Iím going to ask our pro if he can make sure the rep brings some FG Tour 100s.
[/quote]

They wont. They weren't made for demo and they are done making them now. I doubt they have too many spare parts anymore per the Wilson rep i talked with. That being said, if he does somehow have one take it

There is still some stock left over here but they are few and far between granted. I’m seeing the pro tomorrow so should get a better idea.

I’ve been having a trawl through the MPF lately and as well as noticing the high MPF for the VR TW blades, I also noticed the very low MPF of the MP-18 SCs. My mate has just bought a combo set of the 18s and wishes he’d just gone with a full set of the MBs (which have a higher MPF) as he is really struggling to hit the SCs.

The MPF maths does make for some interesting totals... and typically Mizzy clubs are always nearer the bottom relative to other OEMs when comparing across range GI/CB/MB.
Even the MMCs are way down there.
I like how a set of junior clubs is near the bottom - have at it kids!

Can’t make our game too easy for them now can we? I’m keeping my set of Mac VIP Limited’s from ‘71 for my lad to learn with if he ever shows an interest! One of the early Macs has an MPF of -371 iirc...not a sadist but on the lookout for a set!!

I find the whole MPF thing to be highly flawed. For instance, it relies on COG point in the vertical but you can have a thin soled MB with a linear muscle and have a fat bottomed, thick top CB or blade and get the same exact COG. In no way are the two clubs going to be playing the same. Rant over :)

Sorry, I had to Google MPF Ratings and now I am addicted to reading them.  Not sure how much I agree with all the ratings but it made me want a set of Cleveland 588 MB  even more.  556 GI rating??? :haha:

Toe of PW is worst offender. Patina & grooves on face are excellent. Soles and backs are really clean. $216 for all shipped.
Cannot rave enough about these Maruman's. Incredible trust on distance and direction. Shaft is a big part of it, S400 SS1x is the bees knees for me so I'll be careful what these get mounted on.

So yesterday I brought out my mp-67s that have been sitting in my garage for years.
Bought them second hand then finally got around to having them adjusted and regripped last year but was still too intimidated to take them on the course.
They have a super heavy project x rifle shaft probably 7.0 which was another factor intimidating me.
So took them out yesterday and wow that was the most fun Iíve had playing golf in a long time!
The sound and feeling were just amazing, so much pleasure from hitting the ball!
The shafts I think actually help shorten and control my swing and I just focused on lagging the club properly.
Had one bad misshit with a five iron that was actually physically painful as the vibrations moved up the shaft haha. Even the it just went short but straight so as long as thereís not a forced carry no drama.
I felt my other misshits that werenít as bad just lost a tiny bit of distance but just went straight. There werenít any really wild missed that I can produced with my. 900 forged with much lighter shafts.
Feels like the lighter shafts make me want to swing harder from the top.
Playing again with the mp-67s today will report back!

Feel isn’t really different across anything else I’ve played. They are a little chunkier than I would prefer. Was hoping for a more classic slimmer profile which is my preference. At the end of the day there is nothing wrong with them just not sure they suit my eye.

Played a tournament today. Hit my MP32’s like dog poo for the front 9. Hole 12,         200 yard par 3. Flushed a 4iron 8 ft.  Quick reminder why Mizuno Blades feel so nice if you have the game to match.   Played like a new guy on the back 9.  I’m ready to pull the trigger on a new set of blades. Maybe MP5’s ?? Let’s say ye.

Real happy.

Big fan of the conductors... I had a set of them with the funky soles. And, if you do a google search you can see a well worn set of them used by Ian Woosnam.

I picked up a made for Ian Woosnam set in April. They're beat but they kill. Carrying them now.

I remember that. I'm always on the lookout for old Maruman irons. Right now I've got a set of the Conductor Pros. Not sure exactly when they were made, but they compare well with a lot of modern stuff. They aren't quite as compact as the 41CX

Pics?

Toe of PW is worst offender. Patina & grooves on face are excellent. Soles and backs are really clean. $216 for all shipped.
Cannot rave enough about these Maruman's. Incredible trust on distance and direction. Shaft is a big part of it, S400 SS1x is the bees knees for me so I'll be careful what these get mounted on.

Those are quite nice. I saw some Conductors (new) at a local shop a few yrs ago when I was becoming a JDM addict, and they intimidated me, but now, at least your clubs look really fun!

Not that I needed it, but picked up another set of Maruman heads. Conductor 41CX.Faces are in great shape.  I have maybe 6 sets of irons in need of re-shaft. These will jump to the front of the line. I'm contemplating Shimada shafts for these.

They're beautiful!

FYI, eBayer has another set of heads, near as nice but maybe some more wear and has an "MT" stamp on them. They were his gamers when he was a pro. Real good guy, threw in the Nicklaus heads without telling me. The Woosie's I have were more than likely a set that Ian did not actually play. Not uncommon for Pros to have 3-4 sets made up with differing configurations to test. Fortunately the ones I acquired look to be the "softie" set. Really doubt he played on tour events w/ soft stepped S400's and they certainly seem factory original,. I always heard he specified X100's.

I have been thinking about making the switch back to blades.  The two newer blades that I have hit that I liked were the Cobra King MB and the MP 18.  Any newer blades I should check out?

Cobra BIO Cell // Diamana W Series
Cobra F6 Baffler // Diamana Thump
Cobra F7 Hybrid // Tensei Pro White
Taylormade UDI 3 Iron // Tensei Pro White
Mizuno JPX 900 Forged 5-GW // Project X
Ping Tour Gorge 52 // Project X
Callaway PM Grind 56 // Project X
Taylormade Tour Spider Black

Heard many positives about the Bridgestone J15 MB. The new Calloway MB is a handsome beast.

Just a little update on my mp-67 story. Played my second round with them, scored poorly due to my driving being very inaccurate as usual. Iím reasonably long so if I miss I miss big and itís been a problem lately. Most holes at my club donít run adjacent to each other so if youíre off the fairway youíre usually looking  at a lost ball...
Anyway back to the irons, I think itís true love! Maybe half a club shorter than my Jpx 900s but just feel so good, so solid on the ball with such a nice sound. Again didnít have any wild left or right misses, a couple of poor five irons went very short again though. The irony is the five iron actually has a cavity! Think itís Mp-52 or something. Wish it was a blade too but in reality I think I just need more lag and turf after the ball. The other clubs are super easy to hit no dramas at all and just feel so good haha!

If you like both of those, do yourself a favor and check out Miura Baby Blades.
