From a member who we will refer to as G.Rock:

G.Rock said:

The TM one looks exactly like the Titleist D1 save that the depth from face to back is slightly shorter. Color is a deep maroon hue - something very different from the usual TM drivers. I think that the TM one is JDM one (use of the designation "Max").

Aaargh! Stop distracting us with the (tasteful) porn underneath! ;)

I don't know if I like the red paint so much.

Great thing about it is I am sure the SuperQuads will be 149.99 w/ 6 Dozen TP Red or TP Blacks by Labor Day. :D

Nice but I'm not too crazy about the reddish crown ...reminds me of a Wilson driver from a while back.

Another thought I had. How do you guys think TM will market this driver? They're ads this year say "our longest drivers ever" with the Superquad aimed at individuals who prefer to adjust lauch angles and the Burner for people who want to bomb it.

OMG!! Thanks so much to whoever took these pics. Not too keen on the red, and the triangular appearance of the D1 has never appealed to me. Am sure it will probably look better in person- TM's good at that

Hasn't taylormade been against different shaped drivers like the squared and triangle drivers, and now they are coming out with one. I think that thats kind of wierd

Just like they market the other ones....'our longest driver ever!'

It's not so bad looking. Can't wait for Callaway to jump onto the triangle bandwagon and really show some orange.

no they just got caught with their pants down since all they have been doing is re creating MWT in different headsizes. So they threw the burner out to cover their butts against the Ft-i, Sumo2 and D1

I like.... Oh yeah, TM will say, "THIS is our longest driver ever. Trust us this time". Actually this one will be "MOI with LAUNCH CONTROL" and it'll come with an MOI shaft. :boredom:

"Our Longest Driver Ever...From Front to Back" :cheesy:

A sunburnt D1.

I think at the rate their models are coming out, they gonna bankrupt TM fans who are constantly upgrading to keep up.

I'll stick to my D2 thanks.

OMG :WTF: is that?

I really liked the old TM drivers but this one? looks more like a crazy garden tool than a golf club for me... same like the d1 cant look at such a club :(

But that's just a personal opinion, hopefully not alone among the rest ;)

I may very well try this out if I don't have a new driver already by then.

Any rumour on the price?

OMG! Another TM driver! I was sooooo hoping they'd release another driver, as it's been quite awhile since the outdated SuperQuad and Burner came out! That technology is soooo "first quarter 2007"! I must get one of these new drivers, to be on the cutting edge!!!

Seriously, I would NEVER buy a new TM driver. I'd love the Burner....but I'll just wait, by Christmas it'll be $100.

That color scheme would look great with a Speeder 952. If only Fujikura would re-release it...

I'll stick with SuperQuad TP for now.

The most entertaining thing about Taylor Made releasing new drivers fairly frequently, is the number of people who come into threads like these in an attempt to be funny, re-hashing the same jokes used the LAST time TM released a driver.

If the CGB irons are anything to go by, probably latest technology and ultra-forgiveness for a premium. Maybe the MOI is even higher? Increasing MOI over current drivers supposedly doesn't make much difference now they have have all reached 4000+. Not that it will probably stop OEMs from exploiting the marketing potential, of bigger is better.

What a great R&D department over there at Taylor Made... What did they do, take a D1, paint it and add some weights to it? Also do they really need weights on a supposed High MOI driver? I can't keep up with this mumbo jumbo..haha

The crown on this driver makes it look like a junior set or something. Tacky in my opinion but I shouldn't knock it until I try it.
