ITS FUNNY THAT THE 2 PEOPLE THAT MOUTHED OFF TO TIGER WERE nike staff members. Rory and Steven Ames. How smart is Nike?

I have been thinking the exact same thing. With Ames currently sitting second they have a chance of being paired together tomorrow.

Sure gets nike alot of media coverage.

Yeah, it almost makes me wonder if Paul Casey will chime in at some point.

i have given this some thought and came to the conclusion that while they might be sponsored by nike, there is no "team nike" and therefore there is no loyalty between one player and another, nor is there any behind the seens drama. while i am sure tiger does get special treatment from nike and i would imagine they would just as happy to see another staffer get wins as they would tiger. if tiger wins people say its tiger. if another staffer wins, the equipment gets an acknowledgment - although we still know its the player.

Nike is just enjoying the fact that for two weeks in a row two nike players have played in the the final grouping.

Don't forget about Anthony Kim, it could be a ploy, but also Nike is not afraid to stick with controversial players with strong personalities.
