Since my son broke his femur, we've been taking 2-3 hour walks around the local malls. Well, I walk, he rides in the wheelchair, of course. Too blasted hot to walk outside.

Anyway, I went out of my way to go to the Franklin Mills Mall in Philadelphia, because I knew they had a Steve & Barry's store in there. Man, that store is frakkin' HUGE!

Anyway, the Bubbagolf stuff is in a very small section, just a couple of racks and one polo shirt display. But easy enough to find. I was just going to pick up a polo, but after seeing & feeling the shorts, I had to buy a pair.

I got a white polo w/pink stripes and a pink BG logo. The shirt is nice, on par with the quality of a Nautica or Ralph Lauren shirt, IMHO. Not really great for the course, though, 'cause it's not moisture wicking.

The shorts, though, are something special. They're buttery smooth, and so very, very breathable. Got a pair in khaki (the only other color they had was black), and I know these will be my summer gamer shorts. I can't believe they were only 14.98. A STEAL. I might go back and pick up a pair of the trousers (same material). The only thing they didn't have was the visor.

If you have a Steve & Barry's near you, it's worthwhile to check out. Bring the woman in your life, too, 'cause Sarah Jessica Parker's new "Bitten" line is there, nothing over $14.98. Gotta keep the woman happy! :)

I was at Franklin Mills Saturday night for the movies, but it let out too late and Steve and Barry's was closed. I was wondering if they had any of the line in yet. It is a pretty big store they have there, used to be a Boscov's. Their prices really are pretty good and I can't wait to see the Bubba Golf line. I've read other places that it isn't selling real well and has been hard to find.

Big D,
Make sure and update us on how these items look, feel, hold-up, etc after you wash them. Shrinkage in the shirt? That kind of thing. I've got a S&B here in St. Louis and Im real tempted to go and pick up some of Bubba's stuff.
Thanks.

^^Will do. I'll be wearing the shirt on Saturday to a kid's b-day part, probably wear the short on Tuesday when I play. The shirt says it resists pilling and shrinking, so we'll see.

The nearest Steve and Barry's for me is two hours away. I am going to have to get there very soon and pick up some of the stuff. I saw it on the internet and it looked great. I just wish you could order it online as driving two hours to pick up some clothes isn't something I like to do often.

On the west coast this seems to be a decidedly southern California phenomena. :black eye:

I just picked up 3 of the moisture wicking shirts today. got a white, black, and blue. They look great, feel good, fit very well and the price is awesome. I'll have to go back with my girl and pick up some of the pants and shorts cuz they looked and felt great for sure. Wasn't really interested in the non-wicking polos granted they look good but I've got plenty of shirts to wear out, just needed some better ones to golf in.

Overall, I'd recommend the Bubba line since they offer quality products at a great price.

I just picked up one of the white dry performance shirts yesterday. We had an outing and it is about 97 with 90% humidty here right now. I didn't have any light colored nike or callaway dry fit shirts so I figured I would hit S&B for a $15 Bubba Golf shirt. What a steal!!! I had brought an extra shirt to change into after the round before dinner, but the bubba shirt was bone dry 5 minutes after I walked inside. Very cool and once the breeze kicked up a bit I had no trouble staying comfortable even in these conditions. I highly recommend, unless your a price snob and have to pay to much for your clothes.

My only question is, has anyone found the visors or hats anywere. They don't have them at the store near me.

Holy Cow, I've never even seen or heard of Steve & Barry's, just did the store locator search, and there is one about 5 minutes from my house.

Where did these guys come from, did they buy another retailer out? I'm gonna swing by this afternoon and check out the gear.

I think it would be cool (cool) if you had to have the top button done up just like Bubba ;)

Is the top button even functional on his shirts?

Well, I usually buy my cotton shirts XXL because I like them a bit loose (and because I'm kind of a fat guy right now ;) ) and I was able to actually put my Bubba shirt on over my big noggin without unbuttoning the top button. So I'd say the collar is very generous.

I didn't see any moisture wicking shirts....I thought they were all cotton. What color are the moisture wicking shirts? Do they feel the same as Adidas/Nike?

UPDATE: I went to try on the shorts just now, and the seam along the right pocket has a bunch of loose threads. I'll be up in the Steve & Barry's area today, I'm going to exchange them for another pair. Shame, I was going to wear the shirt & shorts combo to a party this afternoon, and the shorts are oh so comfy!

Went to Steve & Barry's at Franklin Mills last night. Picked up a Dry Performance shirt in white and a pair of the shorts. Under $30 for both! I was impressed by the selection they had. The only things I didn't see were the wind shirts, wind vests, visors and hats. The shorts do feel comfortable, but they seem a bit longer in the inseam, almost past my knees. The shirt seems like good quality. I'm going to wear both for my round tomorrow.

They offer 2 styles in moisture wicking... a dri-fit style (like under armour material) and a 100% merc cotton style. Both work very well. I've worn both out in the 100 degree / 100% humidity and they work as well as any other dri-fit type shirt, and the cut is more generous (for us bigger guys). Can't beat the price either.

Oh, I picked upi some S&B jeans at 2 for $20 and they are the best jeans I've ever owned. I'm gonna shop there more often!!

After seeing this post, I found out they had a store within reasonable driving distance. Said, WTF and gave it a shot.

Holy Cow - talk about cheap prices. That place was nuts. The Bubba shirts appeared well made and extremely well priced, but I took a pass. The cotton shirts all had horizontal stripes - a no no for big guys. The tech shirts all had zippers instead of butoons or HOLES. Holes do not belong in shirts - just my opinion.

The Bubba shorts had the longest inseam I have ever seen. In my size, I would have had to had them taken up to keep them from looking like Kuloks.

Looking around the store, I picked up a very nice golf shirt (store brand), two tee shirts, and a pair of khaki shorts for less the $40.00.

Definitely will be back.

May end up being a nice shirt but almost everything else at steve and berrys is you get what you pay for. Good deals can be found but when things are regularly cheap its a sign, or they are made in Thailand.

I went to the Steve and Barry's at Franklin Mills in Philadelphia, and they had a pretty big selection. I picked up 2 moisture wicking shirts. I won't be buying any of the shorts or pants, though. Everything is double-pleated, and I can't stand pleats.

I pretty much assume all clothing is made in Thailand, Malaysia, Pakistan, or China.

Haven't seen anything MUSA in years. Sad, but true.

Made in Thailand...like Nike shoes & Dri-Fit? Like Adidas ClimaCool & shoes, Callaway shirts & shoes, Ashworth, shirts...?

Dude, all clothes are made in Thailand these days. Except maybe Polo by Ralph Lauren. Dunno, 'cause I couldn't find the COO tag in any of my RL polos.

You guys know what I mean though. There are some nice factories in Thailand where kids make .42 instead of .38.

Wore my new BubbaGolf Dry Performance shirt and BubbaGolf shorts for my round yesterday. It was hot and very humid, but these products held up extremely well. My visor was soaked, but the shirt hardly felt moist. And shorts, though a little long, were very comfortable. I think I'll be heading back to Franklin Mills for another couple of shirts and maybe a pair of the black shorts.

I actually picked up the white shirt and the black shorts. I played in them on sat in high heat and humidity and they worked out fine. I will be buying again. Only thing is the stiching is not very strong, my ex-GF got mad at me when I wouldn't talk to her about something and she grabbed my shorts, ripped the zipper stitching and popped a button. So I dumped her. I am getting too old for this! :russian_roulette: My golf clubs would never treat me like this!

Just wanted to give my two-cents on the Bubbagolf line. I went to a Steve and Barrys with my wife today and tried on a pair of the shorts and a couple of the shirts(the moisture wicking ones).
Everything felt and looked great. I didn't buy anything because i am in the process of learning the game and probably won't actually play on a course for several months.
However more than likely i will be purchasing Bubbagolf attire in the near future.
I would probably rate the quality of Bubbagolf a tad below nike apparel. When i played tennis i only wore Nike shorts and shirts but for the price(especially for a beginner who owns zero golf attire) it seems like the way to go.
Also i didn't try any on but the windshirts and cotton polos looked pretty good also.
Way to go Bubba!

Actually the store i went to sunday( which just opened )didn't have anyhthing on sale.
The store by my work did have everything for 8.98.
The stuff is great. I hope they keep carrying it in the future but my only worry is that the two stores by me are kind of in older lower income areas so i don't think the golf stuff is selling very well.

Got a wind jacket full zip up thingy for $9 and it is AWESOME. I am usually a snob, but this thing is great. It is like a high end pull over, but then zips all the way up and down. For the price... even if it breaks... still awesome.

The shirts are great too, but the quality is kind of bad if mistreated.
My putter cover velcro barely touched it and it pulled a thread. Shirt is now junk, but it looked great for 9 holes.

I'm gonna go get a couple shirts.

I had no idea there was an S&B in Vancouver, WA... I haven't seen one since my move from California. Pleasant surprise!

I want to Steve and Barry's today to check it out after reading this post. Just for background and as you can probably tell from my handle, I am a big guy - 6'4 and 260 lbs. Clothes are hit and miss for me but I decided to give it a run.

First off, the S&B near me had lots of gear but I generally take XXL in most tops and 40 waist in pants. The selection in those sizes was pretty sparse. I was able to try some stuff, but the color selection was limited.

First off, I didn't care for the fit or quality of the pants and shorts. The pants didn't drape very well and they were very baggy looking. Both claimed to be wrinkle resistant, but they were pretty wrinkled when I pulled them off the rack. These were a no-go.

I loved the selection in the shirts, but the sleeves for me were very short on all the shirts. This is a personal pet peeve of mine as I want to be comfortable when I play. If I wanted to show off the guns, then I'd buy a rack. Another pass.

The only thing I ended up buying was a quarter zip wind/rain resistant pullover. Very high quality feel and the fit was amazing. I highly recommend checking it out if you have an S&B near you. A lot of garment for $8.98. They also had full zip and v-neck wind shirts although I was less impressed with those.

I'm sure smaller guys would have more success (especially with the shirts).
