I had a chance to hit the MP15 in X100 shaft and the MP64 in X100 shaft.  I was amazing very impressive the MP15.  Didn't find the clickiness everyone was stating.  Definitely more forgiving than the 64s in which it should be.   As other have stated, didn't lose much distance on mishits as opposed to the 64s.  Solid and pretty club!

Today was my first round with mp15....miles more forgiving on mishits...didn't feel quite as good as 64....but still felt really good....so far I like em....gna take some time to get used to em and not striking ball as good as normal but overall good stick I think.....I may want a heavier shaft is only concern...but that's just personal thing

they go turf excellent for me....one of biggest struggles with irons for me....

so same old story....you want feel or you want forgiveness....you cannot have best of both....

Just wondering if you could provide any feedback on the trajectory between these two clubs.

Dunn,

Wondering how you would compare the MP15s to the TP MCs?
Thanks in advance.

Idk, I only have 1 round on em....different look, but similar forgiveness...mizuno feels different....I didn't have same shaft in both heads so hard to compare as shaft has huge impact on feel....I think Mizuno has better turf interaction for firmer ground...but I think they are trying to fit same type of golfer.....I have found mp15 pretty friggen forgiving....especially since I had pretty bad ballstriking day....mp64 does feel better but it has more mass so thats tradeoff....I am mizuno guy so decision is easy.....I thought mc while decent performer just kind of looked cheap to me......

Biggest surprise to me with mp15 was forgiveness....I wasn't expecting that

I was in Golfsmith on the simulator, so it was hard to tell.  But my peak heights where about the same with the MP64s, if that helps.

I would agree that these should launch about the same but I'd say that the MP-15 has a bit more forgiveness. Hit these today and did not have my best swing like I did Saturday when I tested these and the forgiveness definitely helped on a few miss hits. Placed my order for these today.

I hit these on a simulator at Golf Galaxy.  Hit a lot of irons and ended up ordering a set with CTaper X's in them to bring the flight down.  Great irons!  Since my R9 B's went to dust, I've had a real trouble finding something I like.  Tried nearly everything.  I'm on my 3rd ever set of 2005 TP irons after giving my 2011 MC's the boot.  Which did last a long time considering there were a lot of fillers (712/714 AP2s, AMP Cell pro, X forged, 588CB, and Rocketbladez Tour, 2014 MC) in spurts in between.  Found a cheap set on the 'bay and had to pull the trigger, again on the 2005's.  Back to the 15's, these feel really solid and I can work it both directions according to the monitors.  Only a little course time will tell if the simulator was right or not.  Was told I'll get them in 2 weeks.  Which means 3 to 4 weeks in real world time.

Recently bought MP-4s, fitter talked me into switching the 4i to a MP-15. Have only been to the range 2-3 times with em but it feels about the same as the mp4s as best I can tell. Maybe a tinch heavier especially at the bottom of the swing.

To the happy owners of the MP15 - do you think it will stay in your bag?

I'm making the same move from the 64s with KBS Tour to the 15s with c-tapers… they are growing on me.

NS PRO 1150...gamed 64 in NS PRO 1100,PXI, dg, dgxp, and a PX...

They look and play just like 64 with higher ballflight and more help....sole looks identical.....it's a good head imo, nice blend of feel, play, help on mishits

I am pretty sure I got the lighter heads bcuz of shaft weight...and SW is pretty light ( i have SW scale).....kinda wish I got heavier heads as you do when order DG S300.....but I will just add some tape to heads.....I been tinkering way to much lately and getting tired of it....so I just game em as is with lil heavier headweight....

Definitely more forgiving than mp64....w/o question!

Do you think they would make a good blended set with the MP54s?

Playing with KBS C-Taper Lites in X, hardstepped...

I think the fitter and I got a little aggressive with the shaft selection...it's taking me a little longer than anticipated to get used to the clubs just out on the range...but I'll be going out to the course tomorrow to play for the first time with them...

MP54 4-6
MP15 7-PW
i have em with 54 long irons and to be honest could have just gamed mp15 straight through.....but whateves, anybody could mix any set....it's up to the person

Mp54 is a great set. ...If they didn't have funky looking pw and 9 iron I would prolly still be playing em. ...mp54 may feel touch better as well....not sure is mp15 is more or less forgiving havnt had enough time on em yet but it's close

I have tried them 2 times now. The first time I hit them with S300 shafts, and was not that impressed. The 2nd time I hit them with C Taper X 130s and I was extremely impressed. I've never thought I could hit the C Tapers in X, but they were controllable and great feeling. I'm hoping I can swing them outside, as I was only hitting on a simulator and don't base ANY info off what I see. As of now, I'm definitely looking into getting these.

Based on this early set of rounds, do you find much difference in the forgiveness between the MP15 and MP54?

I would say fairly similar..I do have mp54 in 5/6 irons....think turf interaction is better in mp15 but mp54 feels lil softer so...I play pretty firm courses so idk maybe on softer course 54 sole may shine lil better

After playing a couple rounds and some more range time, I love these irons paired to the C-Taper Lite even more than my previous set of Miura CB-202s...

These (and the MP-4s) will be staying in the bag for many years...they were exactly what I was looking for in a more forgiving CB in the long/mid irons while still looking like a "player's iron"...

Seen the 15's today for the first time, very similar to the 64's, they looked to me like they had a much wider sole than the 64's. Anybody else notice this?

The sole of the 15 is almost identical to the 64 (to my eye).

To my eye, the sole is a smidgen thicker than the 64 and smidge thinner than the MP54.

The shop didn't have a set of 64's to compare against but just looked much wider to me especially in the 8,9,P.

Can't really see there being much difference between these and the 64's except for maybe a small bit more forgiveness.

I suppose if you're in the market for a new set of Players irons these will fit the bill for a lot of people.

Mizuno don't make bad irons... sorry that should read Mizuno make great irons!

Demoed the 6 iron and loved it with the C-taper.  Curious on forgiveness with the 3 iron.  I found the 6 to be very forgiving.

Man, that muscle-back on the MP-15 just looks SOOOOO sexy!  And the feel is just classic Mizuno buttery smooth!
