2016 update coming

DRIVER

NEW 2105 Big Bertha Alpha Pro 8.5 – Set to N, +1*, gravity Core Down (12g Core) ,10 grams weight in the toe, 1 gram heel. 5 grams of hot melt in center front, Raw head weight with core and 7,1 weights = 192grams.  Playing length is 45" with Grip.  Shaft is Speeder 757 Evolution Tour Spec X, Tipped 1"  Over all weight is 344 grams, swing weight D4.5

I really wish I knew the specs to the head of this club, lie, loft, etc.  Been getting some really nice Ball Speeds off the face, VERY VERY anti left, still dialing this club in (it was a gift from a family member) so I am really working on making it work.

Old Driver – just an awesome awesome big dog

TMAG Rocketballz Stage 2 Prototype 400cc – Tour Issue Measured head 9.2*, +2.25* open, 192.5 g raw weight + 12 grams of hotmelt , 58.4* lie, 45" Playing Length,  Graphite Design AD DI 8x Tipped 1", 348 gram total weight

Fairway Woods

NEW 2015 3 WOOD: TMAG Rocketballz Stage 2 PROTOTYPE – Tour Issue Measured head 14.6*,+ 3.0* open, set to 1.5* open, 212.4g hotmelted head weight. 57.0* lie, 43.5 playing length, Fujikura P95x Tipped 1", swing weight D4

These prototypes, size and shape, slightly deeper face, very much remind me of my old 906f2 fairway woods.

5 WOOD: TMAG Rocketballz Stage 2 PROTOTYPE– Tour Issue Measured head 18.8*, 2.5* open set to 1.5* open, 216.8g hotmelted head, 58.6 lie, 42.5" playing length, Fujikura Tour Issue Fit-on EX Pro95xx T-30 (105 gram raw weight) Tipped 1.5", swing weight D4

Utility / Driving Iron: SANS the 5 wood: Titleist 712u 18.5*, Project X, PXI 6.5 40" playing length

Irons:
Mizuno MP4's w/ C taper X (pics below) – see specs below, Mizuno, though it took me having to send the irons back, nailed the specs on these club, they are SPOT on, checked by my club maker.  Having the option of heavy iron heads made all the difference getting the swing weight spot on.

MP4 irons updated 2-1-2015.jpg Attached File  MP4 irons updated 2-1-2015.pdf   65.08K   165 downloads

Wedges
Wedges: Vokey TVD M Grinds – 54* and 60*, C Taper X 130's (soft stepped once)(8 iron shaft), lie angle both wedges 65*, Length ='s 54* 36.00" 60* 35.75"

Putter
NEW 2015 - Ping Redwood Answer Black Dot (could use some cosmetic upgrades) – 35.5"(steel shaft extension from 35" ) Playing Length, Ping PP58 Grip (really liking this grip) two strips of lead tape on the bottom.

Sitting out a series  - Great Great putting piece, I just like a full offset putter for some reason, maybe eye dominance
Putting Apparatus: Kingston KP1 Semi Raw head – Dale head / 009 shape Carbon Steel, site dot, 3.5* Loft, 72* lie,  348g head weight, Nippon Pro 149g shaft 35" playing length , 543 grams total weight, Lamkin Deep Etched Putter Grip http://www.golfwrx.c...iew-w-pictures/
http://www.kingstonputters.com/

Misc
Ball: ProV1x  - Need to test the new PROV's series

Grips
*NEW SET UP 2015* Grips: Lamkin .580 Crossline Full Cord –  Caliber grips to check for consistency 5 wraps top hand 6 wraps lower hand – targeting .93 to .94" 2" down from the top of the grip

Cross Line Midsized grips on the wedges – single double sided tape.

Head Covers Plain TMAG Head Covers - LOVE my Rocket Tour Head covers ; Virginia Tech Color Scheme BUT I don't think they protect the club heads enough

BAG -  Ogio Hauler Single Strap – Plain white

Range Finder – Bushnell Z6.

I had read about it on wrx, and scratchswinger brought it to my attention one was for sale, there where only like 10 made, whether that urban legend or not who knows. It's a great pce of equipment , hope titleist brings out the d5, I'm thinking it would be just like this thing.  The proto reminds me of the 905s

Sweet driver - I have a OG Rocketballz 3 wood Proto that is quite a bit smaller than the retail or Tour only size - love it. I almost the r11s V3 for the same reason but I moved too slow and got V2 instead. Best of luck - play well.

I like it, tried the p95x in the driver , while it felt great after a few shots it becomes labor intensive you know what I mean!  So the ad di 8x was a nice combo of speed and stability .  Keeps me in play

I didnt put the shaft frequencies :-)

Guess I just like the stuff to be exact, though now that I look at it, I went a little over board.  Its my firm belief, that the Tour Issued stuff IS NOT any better, the measured spec information that comes with is what sells me - and a hotlmelted head is an phenomenal feeling when hitting the golf ball

Measured Specs
*Side not ping offers this for an upcharge on their production equipment - and that has a warranty*  Will Peoples tour issue product also has a year long warranty.

The CURRENT Tour issue products - are out of my price league, 799 for a SLDR Tour issue driver head, my driver and 2 fairway woods didnt cost that much total for the heads.

After a couple years on WRX trying different things, heads, shafts etc, Ive learned what specs really work for my game so if I try something new, I look for those specs.

Did you get that one from Nibblick on ebay?  Saw a bunch of those 5 wood Proto's, do they play better off the deck?  RBZ 3wood was the first custom club I really ever had, had a blueboard 83x shaft tipped a little.

Those proto heads looked small, like 135cc small - my 3w is 160cc and the 5w is 145cc.

And I do not know why I screw around with putter grips, b.c. Im always coming back to the 6 or so dollar Pingman, larger grips just do not work for me.

Freq some of my sticks yesterday - grips on
Driver - AD DI 8x tipped 1" @ 45"= 272
3w - Fuji Rombax p95x tipped 1" @ 43"= 273
5w - Fuji Fit on Pro 95xx @ 42"(Tour issue model 100g) tipped 1.5"= 291
2 iron - Project X PXI 6.5 shaft @ 40" = 294
6 iron C taper X = 336

Most of my stuff swing weights out around D4

Just a side note - we freq a TMAG SLDR Shaft , stock STIFF TP shaft - which I think is a Motore Tour Spec 7.3,  freq out to 272 with a grip on, which runs in the X Flex range (though I know there are no std's)

Pxi, I only have as you can see in the 2 iron, I like it, not sure if I would want to put it in all my irons, but on a 2 iron application for me works awesome.  Its slightly softer and launches higher so does exactly what I want in that club.

Back when I purchased my MB 712s I bought two test irons, 4 and 6 iron, to play a couple of rounds with as I was fear fully of a full set of blades of blades, moving from mp 63s to  mb 712s turned out it was really not that much of a reach.  Those two irons test irons, I used to test shafts, lengths, lies, etc.  One shaft experiment was a C Taper X , which I hit well and tested nicely , and the numbers where very close to the X100s so I went with the x1s, as I didnt want to pay the upcharge

In come these new irons, Had tested C Taper X in my MB712 set and again got some good numbers and decided to make the switch - while I loved my MB 712s, the cost to reshaft was great, also building the clubs to reach the D4 swing weight (C Taper Constant weight takes a little more weight in heads to get a higher swing weight), which with mizunos heavy heads made getting to my requested spec easier.   The biggest decision to switch was the C Taper Xs ability to execute that that low boring and spin shot.  Also,  hitting a high fade isnt tremendously difficult to flight with these shafts.

Got to say after continued play with the  C Taper X, whole different animal than the x100's ,

This might make zero sense, but with the C Taper , I can feel the L in the back swing, I really know where the club is.

While I feel I do not change clubs as much as some members, I AM bad with changing putter grips - with a stash of Pingmans in the closet - as thats what I learned to putt on.

Historical Usage

Cameron Cord
Pingman
Cameron Studio Select Smooth grip - aka a Expensive Pingman
Cameron Baby T
Iomic Absolute
Iomic Std / Reg / I Classic
Golf Pride Tour
Lamkin Crossline Full Cord Putter Grip

-------

Now by chance picked up a Lamkin Deep Etched , similar to the Cross Line putter grip, but IMOP closer to a slightly larger Baby T.  Had it for a little while and love it, mainly B.C when I grip it, it fits PERFECTLY into my hand when I set  up, which gives me a lot of confidence.
