I haven't posted on WRX in a bit due to work kicking my butt. Today marks day 1 of a 8 day vacation

Today I am playing in a very odd tourney

Full scramble on a par 3 course. I'm guessing -18 or even -19 with an ace is gonna win. It has 2 groups of 4 in every tee. I'm thinking if I hit 8th there could be 7 othe balls on the green.

I'm debating busting one of the guys balls and asking him to go mark his ball.

This should be interesting

Two groups on each tee but only four guys play the hole at one time? Eight guys aren't actually going to play the hole at once are they? That would be interesting.

Never played a scramble like that. Let us know how it goes.

All 8 play at once.. Reality is a full scramble means even if everyone is on the green only one ball is used. I agree I haven't either should be interesting

That's crazy. What's the penalty if your group gets a bogey?

Have seen a lot of bigger money scrambles do this. Stops most of the cheating.

I think the best thing about this tourney is that you finally get to enjoy a vacation. There is something about playing golf during a vacation that makes it sooooooo nice to just not be at work. I love to play golf, but playing golf on vacation is something different.

This is how my course does scrambles. 2 teams on each if its a four person, and 2-3 teams on each if it is a two or three person. It does prevent cheating for the most part but our scramble tourneys aren't neccesarily big money.

Isn't this the same as playing as an 8some.....................Yikes!!! :fie:

I can see how this reduces cheating and it is a scramble at least, but my lord, the time spent watching you and then 7 other people tee off would drive me nuts.

What was the final score? We played in a scramble the other day at a regulation course and played the par 3's in 1 under. (we were 12 under total). The par 3's were meaty, shortest was 177, longest just over 220. Sometimes in scrambles, the par 3's are the toughest to birdie.

begin passive brag ::: The one we birdied, I stuck a 6 iron to 7 feet ::  end brag
