That thing looks sweet, but I'll bet the folks at TM are rethinking that yellow paint on the rear sole area. Nike beat TM to the punch on that color scheme.

Amazing on how much this looks like the SQ. I'll stick with my r7 quad. At first I thought the head was small but I seem to find the sweet spot easily.

Rombax Technology? Does that mean they borrowed from the triax Rombax without going all the way to a $300 Rombax? Interesting.

A friend told me this is a LOW LAUNCH low spin head which I found kinda wierd seeing that everyone seems to be coming out with a HIGH launch low spin head.

Any truth in this?

Great pics! Not sure if it is an improvement in looks over the old R7 TP but that headcover is seriously cool.

They should get rid of this yellow chicken paint.
But all in all it looks nice.

Congrats to DoN,

If i'm not mistaken these are the first actual pics on any site...no?

i'm sure this baby performs every bit as good as the 400cc version if not slightly better, but I must say the sole design is not so hot. Many of us could have done a better job. The Jets, font, colors, and shaft style has left a lot to be desired visually.

Will I buy one? Of course! thats what we do when a new club is released right?

WOW!!! Thanx very much for the pics- the first I've seen. Must say can't really see that much difference from the original, looks aside. I mean, its only an extra 25cc. Heard a review the other day that confirmed this... Looks pretty rude tho

BTW, I expect Ryan (or whomever he gets to do it) will have a lot to say about this in this Friday's Podcast. For those that don't know, each week, GolfWRX is going to submit a 2-4 minute "equipment news and rumors" segment to be included in the Podcast... this news pretty much has to make it. ;-)

:cheesy:

I just had to add that, especially after all that talk of the yellow on the Nike SQ. I'm no tard though, the SQ Maxx from address is ugly, that I'll give you, but this is even more hideous from the sole standpoint.

that other forum full of dancing bananas locked a thread last evening about this driver. They stated they're not out yet and the TP doesn't exist as of now. I guess you-know-who doesn't have the solid TM connections he claims to.

great stuff. thanks.

I wonder if all the club designers are smoking crack these days since we are seeing some really odd looking clubs. I guess with all the USGA regulations limiting performance, they need to use visual stimulation to sell clubs.

Hideous but I am attracted... It better have a deep face and low spin carateristics unlike the r7 or it will be a flop...

While I think that it looks crazy, i am also thinking that Taylor Made would NEVER put out an under performer for their flagship driver. Ugly? Maybe, but I bet this thing will hit some BOMBS. JMHGO

Cant wait to try it.
