As in the shoes?  Seeing as the 14's weren't released that long ago and TW is still sporting those ones I doubt we will be hearing or seeing anything until the Masters.

I always thought that Nike should release the new TWs at The Masters. Similar in how they would release Jordan's at the All Star Break each year.

I like that idea. Take my favorite weekend of the year...AND new TWs? Yes please.

Got a buddy at Nike.  Not even a design for them yet, chill ya'll.

They are talking about him getting a a signature Nike Free crosstrainer non-golf shoe for next year though, that would be interesting.

Don't they already kinda have one of these?  At GG they have the spikeless nike free golf shoes, they just aren't labeled TW.

However, I would love to see some TW Nike Frees at a Footlocker.  He could go all Jordan on us and start coming out with Retro's too.

Just imagine some Retro Tiger Slams

Or Tiger 1's with better soles so they don't fall apart after 5 rounds.

I'm assuming it would be a low-profile Nike Free shoe...as he's so fond of them.  Those are the Nike Free Impacts I believe you are talking about.  Spikeless, but you shouldn't train/run/lift etc in them...they are built like a golf shoe, nothing for high impact movements.

I'd like to see them get rid of the swoosh like they did with the Jordan shoes after a few models.

That's just a regular pair of 5.0 free runs. I have those but in black and red. Nothing TW inspired about those.

I think he's trying to say that the TW shoes inspired his choice in his Free Run Nike ID's.

If they could work a nice integrated sole into the free run w/ a little squarer toe box (so it doesn't narrow and curl up as much, kinda like a true) they would be great. I don't know about anyone else, but the TW's feel like cement shoes compared to my free runs, they just feel heavy. I know a lot of people like them and I hope the next model is a bit more "free" and not as stiff. Maybe I'm used to how shoes like Trues don't need to be broken in, or the Free runs, vivo barefoots, etc are super flexible right away. Do the TW's need break in time?

I agree, the TWs are heavier than the frees. They are lighter than a more traditional golf shoe though.

As for break in periods, my 13s were good right out of the box.

The 14s feel better than the 13s, but theNike FI Impact golf shoes feel better (free'er) than both.

I guess I just expected a "softer" shoe when I tried them on. Silly, I didn't even consider that they were supposed to be a traditional style shoe, but that does make sense as to how they feel.

The Nike Free line has different levels of flexibility as well - 3.0 all the way to 7.0. The higher you go the less flexible they get but the still have the separated bottoms. You couldn't make a golf shoes as "barefoot" as the 3.0s just due to the fact that they wouldn't last. I'd assume the TW 14s lie somewhere in the 6.0 to 7.0 range of the Free line.

Interesting. I didn't realize the 5.0 on my run 3s meant that. I thought it was the 5th version of the free style mid/outsole but that was obviously wrong. They are way more flexible than the TW 13/14 that I've tried on. They definitely could make mid/outsole more flexible and have durability. They don't need to have all the splits in straight lines. They could do something like these vibram soles (which are actually excellent for golf, I wore mine at the range the other day. I think I liked them more than any of my Trues, but they aren't waterproof on the top). These soles go through way more of a beating than a TW golf shoe would, Nike could easily make something that holds up but Tiggy probably wants a stiffer shoe.

I'm sure others with more knowledge will chime in, but I believe those were the prototypes for the TW 13's. To be honest I would have loved to see those cause I think they look better than the ones that actually came out!

The iterations of 3.0, 5.0, and. 7.0 have nothing to do with flexibility but rather the distance, in mm, of drop from heel to toe.

Ummmmm, that is not correct.

From: http://insider.nike....oose-your-flex/

"The three different midsole/outsole types—3.0, 4.0 and 5.0 (and 7.0)—offer a range of flexibility and support. The higher the number, the higher the level of support. Nike Free shoes with a 3.0 outsole (the Nike Free 3.0 Running Shoe, for example) feature Nike’s most barefoot-like ride to date."

It absolutely has everything to do with flexibilty.  Check Nike's website.

It has nothing to do with flexibility?

How about:

http://insider.nike....oose-your-flex/

the tagline:

Free to Choose Your Flex

Of course when you go up in flexibility, the soles get thinner.  But the purpose is that your are choosing how flexible you want in the shoes, not how much drop you have in the sole.
