Any word on the status of the closing of these two courses? I have not heard much the last few months.

I don't have a current status, but I played Osprey about a month ago. Course was in great shape and the staff was super.

I golfed with 2 Disney employees and they said the last day for Eagle Pines was July 17. The Four Seasons is putting in a hotel and private residences. Nothing was mentioned about Osprey Ridge.

Osprey Ridge should be open for another couple of years until the new Four Seasons resort is finished. They then take over Osprey Ridge. Unfortunately Eagle Pines has gone.

I feel lucky to have played Eagle Pines five times before they closed it. Who knows what they'll do with Osprey Ridge when the Four Seasons hotel is completed On TOP of the former Eagle Pines site. Disney not only must be about the dumbest SOBs on the planet to close a Pete Dye course that was all of 14 years old (to build another over priced hotel in their vicinity), but they are also most likely the ONLY people to ever close a Pete Dye course. That was quite a feather in Disney's cap to have Dye's Eagle Pines and Fazio's Osprey Ridge together at The Bonnett Creek Golf Club. There was no comparison between those two courses and the Magnolia & Palm courses. Once the Four Seasons is opened, Osprey Ridge will be probably be made over into some $300 monstrocity for Four Seasons guests only. What a shame. I've played Osprey Ridge several times and it is a lovely course exactly as is...it doesn't need any help.

I was just at Disney and Eagle Pines is no longer...Osprey Ridge is still open (and quite busy when I was there).

It will be interesting to see if they continue to move forward with the Four Seasons resort due to the economy.

I really did enjoy playing Eagle Pines, but it wasn't nearly the course that Osprey is.
