Just got pics of my first custom putter order from Chip at Black Lab Golf.  I'll provide more pictures upon receipt tomorrow.

I went stealth (black ox finish with black shaft, grip and headcover).

One of a very small handful of 1997 'Art of Putting' models done in Black Oxide instead of the Oil Can.

This putter is still GIP and has probably the best milling I have ever seen - check the cavity, she is a real looker and I am very pleased to have obtained it from another OS collector. :-)

Just picked up a custom Tad Moore blade that looks like the barn find, but doesn't have any markings on the sole and doesn't have an insert. I'll post pics tomorrow when it comes in the mail.

Instead of sitting on the fence, I should have bought one of these ages ago. (Cry’s over the three putts that have cost PB rounds)

The thing is bloody brilliant

Odyssey works 2 ball fang and added a flatso grip. My putting can't get much worse so we'll see how this goes. Thanks to DSG sales this is a cheap experiment.

After wanting one for going on 2 years, and not being able to justify the expense I let myself buy this ugly abomination yesterday for a steal.

Copper Low Tide Fin
(currently fit with a Carolina Blue shaft, grip, and paintfill... that's all going as soon as I get it.)
It's going to get a nice polish ASAP and maybe a black shaft, and a more classy white paintfill.

Also recently acquired was a Studio Design 2.5 which will be butchered. A Detour NP2 that will be modded. A Rife Bimini Milled Series # 363 of 500.  And am looking to have someone do a custom Ping Redwood D66.

This was my very first Scotty when I was 14 years old. I foolishly traded it for what I don’t even remember. It would certainly qualify as my entry in the putter I wish I never sold thread that’s going on right now. Simply gorgeous.

Are you able to strip the shaft or do you plan on sourcing a replacement?  I ask because sometimes double bend shafts can be difficult to find perfect replacements for.

Also, need to post pics of the Bimini when she comes in! :nyam:

Finally got my custom Tad Moore in the mail from the Bay. Classic napa style (looks similar to his Barn Find but no insert and no stamping on bottom), carbon steel, no stamping except "T MOORE". Milling is beautiful. Got it for an absolute steal in my opinion. Love me some Tad!

I think I'll source a replacement.  Tried writting the guys at Low Tide to try to determine tip size, but haven't heard back.  Will probably source a replacement, pull the existing, and if I don't end up being able to find the right thing, I'll probably go over the top of the existing with the black shrink wrap treatment.

I've had the Bimini for a while, need to repolish the sole as it had some fine scratches, and will do a new paintfill as I didn't like the existing blue and white.  I haven't had the supplies to do the paintfill so it's been left undone, but those are in the mail now.

As it was initially found.

Nice (non-Barn) find!  Milling looks like a Rife Bimini, which have great feel IMO.

Also looks flat.  Do you know what the lie angle is?

Finally got my custom Tad Moore in the mail from the Bay. Classic napa style (looks similar to his Barn Find but no insert and no stamping on bottom), carbon steel, no stamping except "T MOORE". Milling is beautiful. Got it for an absolute steal in my opinion. Love me some Tad!

Nice (non-Barn) find!  Milling looks like a Rife Bimini, which have great feel IMO.

Also looks flat.  Do you know what the lie angle is?

Thanks! Not sure on the lie angle, will be taking a trip soon to the local shop to get some new grips on my wedges so will try to check then. Def reminds me of the Bimini which I also love (I need to slow my roll on buying putters lol). I think this will be my gamer now for the foreseeable future.

I love it when this thread sees a rash of "project purchases" :D

Want to replicate this Mann modified D66, so I bought one last night to start with.

What kind of shape is the D66 in and what do you plan on doing to it?  If you're going DIY and it's the black nickel one (as opposed to black satin) you have some work ahead of you...

Drooling over those pics. If I had unlimited income, I'd also have an unlimited collection of gorgeous putters. But like gorgeous wives, sometimes they turn on ya.
