Depends on the kind of swing i put on it. Not extremely forgiving, but i'm not expecting that from a Titleist club.  I do agree that the club sets up closed though. Hoping that putting a V@ 75-S will make it a little more consistant.

i picked one up from my local pro after hitting a friend of mines which he got from the tour. I got a pro 95 in it and it goes so good andddd i wont be changing for years to come cause i can send it both ways and when i have a crack at it the ball flight stays the same which is great.

I tend to hook my 904 with 757S on the tee, when I tee it up 2-3 mm, yet the distance is no more than 10 yards shorter than the driver; but the hook disappear at the range or from the fairway, with distance sacrificed a bit.

gave it 4 stars, just because of face angle. other than that feels great, can work it both ways, is easy off the turf and plenty long

I have to say this is the worst fairway club I own.  I went back to my 980F, much better sole, and much easier to hit.  The face on this club is way too tall, like probably taller than an iron.  It reminds me of the first taylormade metal drivers, it's basically the same club.

The biggest problem with the 904, it bounces so easy off the turf, (the sole sucks) I am not a very steep swinger either, I never thought I would say that a club bounces, but this thing does.

I love my other titleist clubs irons and woods, but this is the only club that I hate.

All my fairways have the aldila nv 75s,  that is my favorite shaft.  I was the guy who rated this club a 1.  No wonder this club wasn't out for very long before titleist started replacing it on the tour, I would guess the pro's must hate this thing.

980f is still as good as it gets, the 906f2 is better than the 904, but still not as easy to hit as the 980F

I have the 15 deg. with the speeder.  Am I crazy, or does the face set up closed at address?  I let my friend try it out and he swore it was a closed face club.  After comparing his 906 with the 904, I had to agree with him.  But its strange...all forums say its supposed to be neutral.  Can anyone explain?

And yeah...I do tend to hook if I really go after it.  Can't put the same swing on it as I would my driver or irons.  With those, I play a light fade if I want to get aggressive.  With the 904, forget it.  I almost feel like I have to play a cut in order to hit it straight.

Very, very long, I tried it out with a YS-6 Stiff Graphite Design shaft, even though I usually play regular, this 7 wood went as far as my normal 5 wood. I would say this is one of the top older fairway woods

I had this club for awhile but could never get consistent with it.  I ranked it a 4 because I truly believe that this would have been a good wood if I was a better player.

I have the 13* and 19* with the YS-6+ shafts in. The 13 * is very long about 20 yards behind my driver, both are  good off the deck. Flight of the 13* is low which is what i want into the wind, both excellent woods.

I have the 15* with the YS-6+ in an X-flex.  Did not work out too well for me as a 3 wood since I could not get it to stop ballooning.  Shortened it and inch, added some lead tape to the toe and it makes a great 4 wood.  Awesome off the tee and great into the greens.

I have 15 and 19.  I love both and can rock them both, sometimes to almost the same yardage....I have problems with fw in the rough and tended sky several in heavy rough with ball floating, thats all me.  The club just shoots off the face.  I really like them, and have played them for over year.  I pulled my sonartec for this club because of the deeper face.  It's just as long tho. very nice club.  just get the right shaft.

Goodness this thing is a BOMB. I have the 17* with the Speeder and it is consistently the best club in my bag. I don't think I have mishit this thing since I have bought it. My only beef is that I hit it a mile high and I cannot possibly keep it down.

I picked up a 904f 3 wood (15 degree) with an Aldila NV shaft a few months ago and it has become my favorite club.
It's long and accurate off the tee and I have good success with hitting it off the deck (never could hit a 3 wood off the deck in the past).
This club is solid, makes a beautiful muted "tink" at impact, and it's surprisingly easy to hit for this 14 handicap.

Why in the hell would you put a YS-6 in a fairway that is already made to hit the ball higher.  No wonder it balloons.

I've had my 15* and 19* for three years now, and I'm not looking to change them.  I haven't had a problem hooking them, but my usual shot shape is a gentle fade.  I replaced the YS-6+ with Purple Ice 75 (S) which helped some distance control issues I was having.  I will say that I found they perform best when I take a little divot.  They are without a doubt the best feeling fairway woods I've played.

I know its an old thread.....

The 904F is still in my bag.  I took last year off of golf and this year I started hooking this club MASSIVELY.  It is DGs300 so it inst the shaft.  What I did discover was that my hands in my setup was creeping behind the ball.  This caused a lot of closed club faces and the 904F REALLY exhibited this.  Once I got my hands back to slightly ahead of the ball I started smoking this club again.

I posted in this thread in 2008 and I am still playing the 904f 3 wood.  I picked up the 904f 5 wood later in 08 and it is my favorite club in my bag.

Love these clubs!

Just bought a mint 904f 4 wood (17) off ebay for $40.  I now have the 3,4, and 5 woods.  I've tried other fairway woods but the 904f is by far my favorite.
