I'm no big fan of reality shows (Big Break was the first one I've ever watched), but this has the potential to be entertaining. Or at least good message board talk the next day.
http://www.thegolfchannel.com/foreinventors/Make sure you watch the "Fore Inventors Only: Sneak Peak" video.

Well it looks interesting, it will be neat to see what people will come up with. I'll probably be watching it.

You know there will be something on there where we all say, "Why didn't I think of that?!" and that guy will make his millions. It will be something like a paper clip. Easy to make, but essential to golf from its inception.

Is there a stubborn, egotistic judge with a British accent?
If not, I'm not watching it.

That putter string aid, with 6 strings coming out of it. I'll buy that right now. very impressive.

I agree. To me that was the best product to date.

I watched the show last night and thought some of the products were pretty good, while some just made me laugh. The putter string training device or the reusable contact tape (especially for the putter) were the best in my opinion.

a guy at my club is on that show! he made it to the finals--watch out for Ed, and the "brush-shoe" (not the real name of the product).

I thought the putter aid with the strings was the best one that I saw. I started watching halfway thru the program. I also liked the cart caddie thing that allows your bag to tilt for easier access to your clubs. Simple and effective. Oh, and Stina is hot!

TRUE. I thought she was incorrect and out-of-line when she was slamming the guy with the decorative shaft covers (that you put on with ahair dryer) to heat the material.
Apparently these products aren't as recommended for graphtie shafts for fear of damaging the shaft when you remote the decorative skin (with a knife).
She slammed him since she claimed most women use graphite shafts in their clubs. I don't believe this to be true whatsoever for irons! Most every woman at my club uses standard steel shafts in their irons. I thought she was too harsh on the poor chap for an incorrect issue.
Otherwise -most of this stuff looked like useless crap.

The putting device that you hook your putter up through magnets.....can do all planes and swing types....used by 50 tour pro's impressed me............and i agree with earlier post the women shooting down the shaft skinz...ladies and kids not using steel...........oh ok............not true from what I have seen............on the shaft skinz sight there is mention of xl covers coming out for woods.......it is obvious that they are addressing the issue for graphite shafts..

about the shaft skinz, i wonder if you could just leave a small bit of it unheated up near the grip, and then flip the end part of the grip up and over it, so that when removing it, you could just peel it off since there would be a small part not stuck to the shaft.
The putting device was the bomb, seemed like something i need. I wonder if its hard to figure out without having some initial help.
I really liked the side hill lie device.

I thought the putter string idea was a good one as well...it will be interesting to see it in field testing.
Too bad Vince Cellini isn't going to be on the next season...anyone heard where he is headed ince the Golf Channel didn't re-new his contract?

String putting aid was easily the best because it is practical, portable, and could be priced affordably, unlike the Hillshot Golf mat ($800):

Yes Steena is hot, however her personality is just the opposite. She has slammed mostly everyone on the show that has had some good products ie. the two guys with hanging hook that you press up into and it clamps down and holds the item, the iron skins, and the device that tilts the bag on the cart and is interchangeable for all bags ( because OGIO has one built into their bag). It seems as if she is highly critical of everything. Could you imagine be married to that

Agreed, Stina is very critical about a lot of products, but the other two judges are such softies it seems.

I too thought device to be really useful but I have a problem with it because it does not seem to be in the spirit of the show, same as the golf mat with lies. Those alreaddy seem to be in large production and can be purchased. I thought the show was for people trying to develop an idea or prototype. maybe I just dont understand the point of the show
