I'm staying on Long Beach Island for 10 days and am wondering if there are any courses near by worth playing? Thanks guys.

Hey JD. I live in Manahawkin right outside the island. Ocean Acres sucks but there a couple of good courses one town south in Tuckerton. Sea Oaks and Atlantis. Neither are cheap but they're best of what's closest to LBI. Hope this helps

Thaks for the heads up. What would a round run for Seak Oaks and Atlantis? My buddy/co-vactioner might be priced out depending. Thanks again.

If you're worried about price, you can play Ocean Acres cheapest. Just prepare to be eaten alive by just about every insect in NJ. Bug spray doesn't work there. They could care less.
Next least expensive is Atlantis. It's an Ocean County Course and a nice track, but you need to call as early as possible for tee times.
After that, you're in a different league, both price wise and quality of course.
Sea Oaks was ok, but I'd rather drive down to Little Egg Harbor and play Twisted Dune. Really fun course. $100 a round though.

I would love to play Twisted Dunes, but there is no way he'll pay $100. He won't even pay $100 when we play back home. Looks like it will be Sea Oaks for $50 after 2:00 :-( Oh well...

I actually like Ocean Acres, but I'm used to playing Hendricks Field. The bugs aren't any better at Atlantis than at Ocean Acres.

Why don't you just take the Parkway south to play, the courses inthe south! You can get good afternoon deals at McCulloughs Green, Seaview Marriott, Sand Barrens, Twisted Dunes, Avalon. .. If you want to drive go inland and play cheaper..
I believe Pinehill will take you alot longer to get too... you can take parkway into Hamilton I believe and your not far from McCulloughs Green and Twisted dunes.. one of my best buddies lives like a football toss from both.

Try Shore Gates 20 min south of AC 70 bucks after 1pm, tough track but worth every dollar.

Pine Hill is at least an hour drive away depending on were on the island you are. Parkway south is probably your best bet and fastest way to a variety of courses.
