I have been fooling around with colored resin tiles for an art project I am building and came up with the idea that they would make cool ball markers. Resin is clear plastic that you add color dye and objects to and eventually they dry into a clear, colored hard object. My idea would be to make cool one of a kind colored ball markers. Possibly put some small objects in the flat part (ideas? sparkle?) as well have a range of colors available (pink, maybe swirls if i can do it, red, blue. no green smile.gif ).
I have always liked cool ball marks, my superstition on greens, and thought these could be fun. WOuld others use them? Would you pay for something you can get for free? How much?

Sounds like a great idea but I don't think it will be too profitable...most people use coins and the
snap tops of their gloves and there are usually all kinds of plastic one that have all kinds of stuff
printed on them. If you could come up with a unique or cool design I am sure a few of us wouldn't mind ponying up some dough. Although I don't think you can charge more that a few dollars for them.

Definately not a get rich scheme I know! Just thought they would be cool. Like I said, I have always liked cool, unique ball markers (have known people to collect them from clubs they have played) and thought this could be fun.
My initial thought for a target market was woman golfers as they may be more inclined to use something unique, colorful, and personalized.

I would whip up few and se what kind of reaction you get... post a picture and I am sure some of the folks here would be interested. I know I would take a look at them...

I'd like to see a name or an initial inside. And yeah, you're right my daughter goes buggy for ball markers with flowers, animals or anything that looks Japanese. I usually pay about 10 bucks for a set of four for her. I guess it's a girl thing.
