What is your record for most holes in a day. Mine is currently 45 but I am hoping to bump her up to 54 sometime next week when there is very few people on the course.

72!! All you can play golf up in Brainerd, MN in the spring last year. We got a free lunch and we went out at 9am and we were the last ones in at night. The guy and young lady in the clubhouse were amazed and loved that we kept going. They were pulling the pins right behind us. He was riding along with us and joking with us as we were finishing up. Talk about tired by the end of the day!!!

I have only played 36 for my most so far. I am pretty sure that I would only get worse after 36 holes.
golfernut78
54 holes - 5 times this year before and once did it in 7-1/2 hours (easter sunday, tee'd off at 6:45 as single, played 2nd round as a single, and played 3rd round with a twosome and was home to watch tiger putt out on #2 at augusta). i'm gonna see if i can do 72 holes sometime this year - just a matter of catching a day when the course isn't too busy.

I walked 36 at Bethpage Black about a month ago. That was more than enugh for me.

When I was a kid it was nothing for me to get up first thing in the morning and play from sun up to sun down. On foot. I figure I probably played 54 holes on quite a few times during those days. I will never forget having to listen for the ball to land in the fog during the morning and then listening for it to land because of the dark in the evening. Good memories.

My dad and I spent all day one Sunday playing after 27 it was free so we kept going, Worst sunburn of my life. haha

I played in the MS Longest day of golf a couple of years ago and due to lack of participation and a closed golf course we were able to get in 63 holes. I had many donations by the hole and raised $2100 for the MS society. Fun day and a great cause!!!!

In August two years ago stayed at the Westin Mission Hills for their unlimited golf package (8 of us on a guy trip). Up at 5am, bloody mary's at 5:30, tee time at the Pete Dye Course 6:10am thru at 9:30am (18), shower-fresh clothes and over to the Player Course for 11am tee time - thru at 2:30 (36). No one on the course, beers were flowing and decided to play until dark. Tee off at 2:45pm - thru at 6pm(54), played for 2 more hours and got through 13(67). Awesome trip, we are doing our 10th annual trip this summer at La Quinta, can't wait.

143 holes in a childrens hospital golf marathon fundraiser. Each player was sponsered and the sponser donated X dollars for every hole played. Each player got their own cart and you could play through anyone on the course at will. We teed off at sunrise and played until it was dark. Very long day but I will say I did par the 144th hole in the dark.

45 for me. I think every time I've played 45, I've had the intention of playing 54 but just ran out of time or the course got too backed up. I play 36 holes on a regular basis though.

Played 50 holes yesterday and couldn't finish the last round because he had to get home to his wife.

45 holes - the last 9 holes with 7-iron only.

A friend hit a 38 (par 36) with a 7-iron on those last 9 holes!! Pretty impressive!! My best was a sand-save on a par-3

Did an "all-you-can" out at a club near me. It was somewhat of a scam though as you had to wait for the course to open up for your rounds following the first. We got in 46-47 holes but we should have been able to play WAY more considering we had a 12-13 hour window.

63 holes one day when I was in college...heat index was 108° and I went through a ton of water and gatorade.

I walked 36 holes in the Las Vegas Summer heat (Never again)

i just got done with 18 today--walking. whew. 75 and sunny, no wind, a lot of sun. it was tough. we stopped for lunch at the turn and kept going--there was NO ONE ahead of us. it was great. i'll most likely do it again next weekend.

I've played 54 in one day. It was a piece of cake. But that was in Taiwan where we rode carts and had caddies. We had enough time to play another 18 but they make you pay per 18 holes at that course. It was approximately $100US per round. We were running the bill pretty high including our bets and decided to stop playing.

Carrying my own bag and walking I've done 36 holes which I do regularly at some of the munis in the Bay Area.

36- would've played more but my wife was tired. I know I know, but I really love the fact that she took up golf to spend more time with me. She fell victim to the old saying 'if you can't beat'em, join'em' and I'm glad she did. Anyways, I may have only been good for another 9 holes or so.
PixlPutterman
the most i have walked was 46 and the most i have ridden is 100
imsocrabby
i played 45 yesterday. my legs are feeling it today. old age is really crappy. i went out today and they were punching all the greens. my heart is sad.

back in the day.....72 holes every day in the summer was the norm for my brother and I.

cfreeman8
100 in an FCA golf marathon... sun up to sun down. It was EXAUSTING!!!

Some of these numbers are crazy. 36 for me and my back is on fire. Kudos to you guys who can play that many rounds. I wish I could handle it.... laugh.gif For the guys that play these "marathon" amounts, how do you feel the next couple of days after? Ouch.
zojo
27 on the robert trent jones golf trail. Need to get out a little more....
Rabidpenguin45
27 is my record, played the central, east, and west course at fox praire golf course here in indy. Great day full of golf. The course was pretty empty, and it was one of the most enjoyable times on a golf course.
JeffGladchun
54 holes. Dog tired at the end of the round.

This summer I want to play 54 at Oakland Hills going South Course - North Course - South Course.
CowtownTexas
72 I believe, though may have snuck out 81 once or twice. Most at Starr Hollow southwest of here. Fun, easy course that you typically have to yourself.

A couple of years ago a friend and I played 54 holes a day about once a week throughout the summer. Since then then most I've played is 36 in one day.

144....walking.

I'm to lazy to do more then 27. I'd rather be on the practise green after that point - or just hitting balls on the range without the walking part. My biggest day's were two in a row where I played 18 holes on a course that u weren't sposed to walk but we did cos we were juniors + a clinic/lesson thing with my pro. Pretty good for $100, seeing as it cost $100 to play one round at that course and $40 for lessons.
BEND OF THE RIVER GC
When I was 24 and stationed at Fort Jackson SC I LITERALLY LIVED at the golf course. At 50 cents per 9 holes (and monthly fee) who wouldn't? My buddy and and I once WALKED 54 holes on a Saturday and could have kept going if we had some glow golf balls, we ran out of light! I still enjoy walking courses, but 18 - 27 would be my max!
Mudders
I have to play 72 holes in a day, later on in July for charity.
We are going to start at 5am and hope to have 2 rounds done by 12.30pm. That then leaves us about 9 hours to do the last 2!!
Its for Macmillian cancer relief so its all done for a good cause, just no-one consult me on monday morning as i will still be in bed the day after, lol.

Wish me luck! smile.gif

For my high school reunion, we played 18 half sober and then drove 20 minutes to another course and the 18 drunk. So, 36!!!
sheppy335
Played 72 on a resort course that was empty one day, light drizzle off and on during the day.

100 for a fund raiser, got "X-amount" per hole played. Teed off at sunrise and finished at sunset. It was hot as he$$, high temp for the day was 107, I was figuritively and literally smoked. Was putting my head under the sinks in the on course restrooms to cool down (it was a nice club so they were clean).

Best part, was my high round was 75, and low round was 70. LPGA pro had low round of the day at 69.

I just played in a 24 Hours of Golf event here in Denver...well, Littleton actually, that raised money for the American Cancer Society.
Played 90 holes! Though, I do have to say I could have played way more in that time period. There were breaks for a couple of shotgun starts, and the night time golf was only played on the front nine, so until about 1am, when the weary started to fall off the course, the wait times to tee off were a little brutal...up to 20 minutes.
It wasn't as bad as I thought, since we started at 4p. If you just made it until the sun came up, there was a rejuvenation of a new day! If you ever try one of these, the key is really to not stop. Or if you do, do so for only 15-20 minutes, and throw a quick cool shower or two in along the way. If you sit for too long, the rest you think you are getting will end up hurting you, as the muscles stiffen up. Just keep going! You will get a second wind, and hopefully a third, and a fourth... crazy.gif
It's totally worth it though, especially since I was able to raise $1500 from friends and family in support of the quest to complete it in honor of my dad, who passed away from cancer when I was 17.
If you are curious if you can do it... you can. Just find the right event and cause that will inspire you, and don't say you'll try to do it. Say you'll do it. You'll be exhausted... I slept for 15 hours afterward... but you will feel so good about the accomplishment.
Google "golf marathon" and you'll see there are numerous nuts like me who are up for the craziness, and numerous events that will cater to them!

7am till 9 pm 72 holes, feet hurt but I learned alot!
