I watch the golf channel quite a bit and now that Nick is part of the team I like his analysis...he's much better than Johnny Miller in my opinion...plus having Kelly Tilghman in the booth is an added plus! I think the chemistry works well!

He's by far the best announcer out there right now to me. But I liked him much better with Azinger than Tilghman. I hope TGC wises up and brings Azinger back in the booth soon if htey can afford him.

anyways, I agree, I've enjoyed faldo so far. its funny, however, to hear guys on other GC shows saying "horses for courses".

I have been a huge Nick Faldo fan for over 18 years. Loved him in his prime at the 1990 and 1992 British Open. The '92 British Open has to be my favorite golf tournament ever. I watch the tape all the time.
But............
My favorite announcer is Johnny Miller. I love his insight and his courage to say things other people are thinking but would nver say. That opening music that NBC uses plus Johnny's voice........that is U.S. Open golf.
Love it! Can't wait for next week.

I also feel he is the best in the business right now. I was a little doubtful when I first heard he getting into announcing. And now he is by far my favorite.

I agree completely.
I think that he's surprised everyone with how good he's been, especially as he's stopped trying to be funny all of the time and relaxed into the job. Frankly, I think he makes all the other look like talking heads but I'm probably a bit biased as a brit!

I also like Faldo, but thing the chemistry in the booth is somewhat strained. I much prefered the Zinger and Tirico with Faldo. Kelly's live announcing comments sound more like she is doing voice-overs for the 10pm. golf central.

Please don't bring Mike Tirico. Faldo/ Azinger yes!
The only thing Tirico brought was all his Tiger Woods stories. Like the one were he had breakfast with Tiger's mom just 10 mintues before broadcast and she told Tirico that Tiger wants to win today........Boy, listen to Tirico's intimate personal insight into the mind of Tiger. He stories remind me of Bill Walsh, the former football coach of the San Francisco 49er's. Once coach got into the booth, all his comments were centered around how the 49er's did this and how they did that.
If you took the Tiger's stories out, Tirico wouldn't have much to talk about execept for the, "And immediately following this broadcast, you will see The PBW---The Professional Basket Weaving Tour where Mildred will take on Mom in a no holds barred cage weaving extraganza. On the west coast"................you get the idea.
