I generally prefer an early tee time but I also like playing a late twilite when there aren't that many people on the course...
Sometimes after work I'll try to squeeze in 9 to 12 holes before I lose the daylight....

Early.
The early worm gets the birdies.

The earlier the better. I am normally out on the first tee at my club bu 5:45 AM and generally do not play a course that won't let me out by 7 AM. I hate slow play and prefer to have golf be the start of my day and not my entire day.

prefer early as possible, nothing better than walking in the door after 18 before the family is even out of bed. earliest ever finished was 7:35am, but that was solo with cart teeing off about 5:20 and nobody being sent off the 10th tee.

i've recently turned to early morning tee times, but i also typically play 36 holes and sometimes 54 holes. only problem with playing early is the morning dew and the low sun.

No real preference other than having enough time to really warm up if playing in a tournament. Nothing worse than going to the first tee rushed and making a double to start the round.

I like to play LATE in the day, to finish the round at sunset. There are so much less people on the course, no dew/mildew/grass clippings to contend with, and the beauty and solitude of an empty golf course at sunset is wonderfully peaceful to me.

My preference is early or late, but not so much in the middle.
I love being there early and being one of the first ones on the course. Everything is manicured so well. I am often times the only one I will see on the course, besides a couple of grounds crew workers. I enjoy the fresh dew and morning air.
Or I enjoy being one of the ones on the course for sunset. It is great to have the empty course then too. Problem is every now and then find some really slow groups that seem to have been out there all day and just crawl in on 18.
Mid day crowds are not for me. Slow play, golfers in the wrong fairway, people everywhere.
Twilight is better for the cheap in me, moring is better for the enjoyment factor.

Early, Late, whenever i can get out there!!! LOL
Early: Dew on the greens, birds waking up, exquisite sunrise... nothing better... oh, wait...
Late: End of a long day, beautiful sunset, no cellphone, and my 8 year old son at my side.
Wow, that makes for a tough decision, i guess i'll keep doing both!!!

I like early just because how peaceful it is.

I've always wanted to be a dew sweeper and get the first times, but my friends aren't as dedicated as I. So I settle for whatever we can get! But the peace of the morning can't be beat.
