I've done a search, but very little came up about the actual course at Haggine (I'm talking about the MacKenzie course). Anyone have any opinions, or suggestions in the immediate vacinity? Thanks.

The Alister MacKenzie course at Haggin Oaks is a fair test, with some length (including a 600+ yrs par five). I have played it a few times, including a USGA pub Links qualifier. The link below lets you see hole by hole, one of the best things about the complex is the massive golf shop!

Yep, just played there two weeks ago, an ugly 94. When the wind is up, it's downright nasty. But a good course, and a fantastic Pro Shop - one of the best Golf Stores around. Simply huge.

The course is nothing special or worth a special trip to play it.

Second the motion on the fitting studio. Putter laser fitting. BALL fitting. plus at the range you can test any club they have... and they have them ALL. Leave your license, pick out 3 clubs and away you go.. Just plan on being there for HOURS.
good luck.
if your going to be in sactown for a little while, go up the hill to auburn and play the Ridge and Dark Horse. great courses.
