A good friend of mine recently received his pilot's license. We are looking for recommendations of nice courses near to small(ish) airports. We live in Nashville, so would like to know of destinations within 250-300 miles. We are not wanting to fly into Hartsfield or O'Hare. The course would not necessarily have to be located immediately next to the airport, as long as it was located within a few miles and either a) the golf course would be willing to send someone to the airport to pick us up or b) the airport had a courtesy car we could use for a few hours.

I have to believe that there are pilots on the board that have executed this type of plan in the past. Any help is appreciated.

Hope everyone has a good Memorial Day weekend.

I work for an aviation fuel company, and I can give you our list of branded dealers all over the country. Typically the FBO will have a courtesy car or someone that might be willing to take you to the course and back for a few bucks. Check them out!
