I use NYX Sunglasses for golfing. Less expensive that a lot of other brands. 3 lenses for like $60.

honestly, it really doesn't matter much, as long as they fit your head. there's nothing worse than seeing some sorry sap with sunglasses that don't fit right.

get something you like. i would also get something with some sort of quality. you get what you pay for and if something ever happens to them, they'll be quick to replace them.

Bought Callaway's last year and love them....have a look at them.

I actually do have a pair of glasses strictly for the golf course. Not only because of their effectiveness but also because i wouldnt wear them off the course. Not to say i dont like the look but its just not my style.

I have the Oakly M Frames with the Razor G14 and the Fire lenses. The G14 are for when it is partially sunny and the Fire are for when it is desert like conditions. I believe they are ideal due to the fact i can see through my peripherals through the lense. I have found the traditional sunglasses do not afford me this.

Good Luck!

Bolle makes a pair specifically for golf, theyre cheap compared to most of the brands listed above, 60 for a pair. www.bolle.com

that'd be true..

i was given those in a golf tournament with interchangeable frames.

not exactly my style, but they're nice shades.

Have to agree on Kaenon's, they're awesome. Pure lense, perfect tint (for me anyway, c-35).
A few tour pros wear them, although I can't remember who right now!

Oakley Half Jackets w/ G30 lenses...

The G30 lens by Oakley are excellent for golf use especially on the greens. One down side though is that they are made for flat to medium light situations thus they are not great on really bright sunny days especially if you do not wear a cap.

Bought some cheapos at the pro shop. They work for me, but I really only use them when it is quite bright out.

I like the idea of yellow lens for low light, but I'm not shelling out more than about $15 for something I'll break and/or lose.

I'm not sure how anyone can claim a particular pair of sunglasses is "best for golf".

If you want a pair that looks good on as well as off the course, I really like my Smith Factor Sunglasses:

http://www.smithoptics.com/Factor_30_38.html

Key things to look for in sunglasses:

1. Amber or rose tinted lenses are supposedly better for reading greens
2. Make sure you get polycarbonite lenses (glass is heavy and are very dangerous if they shatter)
3. Good coverage so you can look up, down, left, and right while still looking through the lens
4. Adequate curvature of the lens design to eliminate distortion: 9 base lenses great, 8 base lenses work too

As far as polarized vs. non polarized I don't think there is much agreement in terms of golf, so this isn't a priority unless you plan to wear your glasses alot around water. Interchangable lenses are a nice plus too.

You could pay alot for glasses (Kaenon, Oakley, Maui Jim) or a medium amount (Bolle, Smith) or very litte (Tifosi) and all would be great for golf. Alot of it comes down to personal preference and how much you want to spend. The Smith Factors (Dark Ale) aren't too expensive and look great in my opinion.

try sundogs.com if you dont want to break the bank or buy three different styles for the same cost as some of the big name stuff, which you only, loose scracth, sit on anyway. Or Tifosioptics.com there is a good article summary in the May 26 edition of Golf Week

I play with Oakley Polarized WHY 8.2 http://oakley.com/pd/3501
I bought these just for everyday use, but I tried them playing a round and they were perfect.
