Hello all. I am new to the board. Have been looking for a site like this for a while and stumbled across it recently.

I am going to be in San Francisco Labor Day weekend and will have time for a couple of rounds. I have never visited the area before. I have been fortunate enough to arrange a round at the Olympic Club. I also called Pebble Beach and unfortunately they are already booked solid. Quite disappointing. I would like to know what the general consensus is for the next best course in the Monterey/SF area. Spyglass? Pasatiempo? Any Cypress Point member on the board feeling particularly generous???? wink.gif

Thanks for your help!

there is a course in walnut creek that is pretty nice. I can't remember the name of it right now though.

There is also a course called Pacific Grove that is right by pebble and I believe it even may be in 17 mile drive. Pretty course, you get pretty much the same views as pebble, but the course isn't too challenging. It's less than 6000 yards.

I would definitely recommend the course in Walnut Creek and Spy Glass if you get the chance.

Aside from Cypress Point, Spyglass is probably #2.

2 courses you can't really go wrong with are Pasatiempo and Harding Park though. If you're looking for another ocean view course, check out Half Moon Bay.
