I am looking at some of the Titleist "Japan Only" golf bags on ebay. They are around $250 but have a hefty shipping cost.

In most of the ads, they say "Tour" stand bags...

My question are these any different than the retaill stand bags you can buy in the US? (besides looks)

If not, why do they say "Tour"?

Thanks for any insight.

here are a few links:

I have one which I bought last year off of ebay. It's earning it's worth. I carry just about everything I need for the cource, rain gear, snacks, balls, etc. It's 'fairly' light, 6.5 lbs approx, it's not sunday bag, but it's a bag which you dont have to worry about leaving anything at home or in the car. It has plenty of pockets and a 'valuables' pocket for your watch/keys, etc.

The legs are durable and easy to use along with the straps.

If you are looking for one, there is a white one on here for sale. Do a search on cbs51, btw, I'm in no way related to the sale or seller.

Sweet looking bags. Not sure they're worth the price tag.

So, why are these tagged "Tour" bags? Are these carried by pros over on their tour? or is it just a marketing ploy? Are they made better, or more durable than the $189 titleist stand bag you can buy over here in the US?

The more I look at them the more I like them. Do any of the manufatures sell a higher quality "tour" stand bag?

I am with you...I am trying to find out if this is a "higher quality" bag, or is it just Japan's version of our Titleist bag?

It looks solid...

Any insight?

from all the thing japanese apparel and accessories I have purchased in the past, even the same product seem to have more detail better quality material. I'm asuming it is the same with these Titlest bags.

I'd like to get my hands on one and do my own side by side comparison. I'm all but positve I'll find the Japanese model superior.
