I had a random idea, don't ask me where it came from or what sparked it (I think it came from the ball marker thread). So here it goes.....

Ball Marker WRX "Tour"

-We start out with 1 person, 1 ball marker
-That person will have it for a set time, and use it once, on one hole
-That person then mails it to the next person on the list, who does the same thing.

We could even go as far as keeping a simple journal to pass along with it, like "This was used on hole #3 at Dauphin Highlands, Harrisburg PA, shot a birdie)

Obviously it would take interested people who could take the time to mail it, etc. I thought it would be interesting if we got 10 or 15 people, pass the ball marker around the U.S., get to read where it was, what happened, maybe even pictures. We could keep a dedicated post with updates etc.

Might sound "off the wall"....just curious if anyone was interested?

I do like the idea. I think we should keep it simple. Send out the ball marker and a few pieces of paper. Use it for one round. Record who used it, their handicap, the date, the course, the score. Then throw it in an envelope and off to the next person.

I would love to do something like this, but I am thinking that we should start our own thread or page somewhere and be able to share pictures from the course and/or the round that you used the ball marker. Just some thoughts, I love where everybody else's head's are at. Keep it up!! Keep me informed.

Jeff

Post Script: I will be using it at my favorite course in my area, White Eagle Golf Club, Hudson, WI

shoot... just send the score card from the club you played at with your recorded round...?

If you saw the Golf Digest "Whats in the Bag" with J.J. Henry i liked his ball mark with just J J stamped on it
maybe we could use that as a design, just keep it simple with maybe just WRX on it? just a suggestion.

I'm in... and I don't think it will be a problem sending it to the UK or any other country. Actually, that would make it more interesting IMHO.

What an awesome response, this should be fun!

I'll let the thread open for anyone else who's interested and tonight I'll update the list with everyone that wants to join in.

We can start another thread once everything is set in motion where we can keep an "online journal" per say as everything is happening. Once you receive the ball marker, you can update the thread with any comments, pictures, etc, and then let the next person know it's on the way.

If anyone else is interested, simply reply and let me know. I'll tally everything up tonight and we can get started.

P.S. The UK is fine with me, I think it adds more to it! Let's take it all around the world, the more the marrier!

Count me in if you don't mind posting to Singapore. If you want to include Asia, South East Asia and Oceania in the list then let me have it for a couple of months. I gurantee to add at least 3-4 countries and 7-10 courses. Be quick though, I'm off to Mission Hills in a few weeks...
