Just curious who makes the best push cart? i.e. manufacturer, model, etc. Thanks for your opinions!

Clicgear carts are as good unfolded as the speed carts, but half the size folded up.

www.clicgear.com

They are awesome. They only make one model.

Use the golfsmith code(women's stuff, but it works for the carts) for 15% off and makes a pretty good deal.

I purchased a BagBoy EZ Fold LX about 2 months ago. I got it because I have a larger cart bag. I like it because the tires are not pneumatic. (didnt want to worry about flats) It pushes well is stable because the rear axle extends to give it a wider base. My buddy got 1 also and loves his as well.

another vote for the clicgear cart.

It fits to my Civic's trunk nicely. And...it's sturdy.

I have the speedcart as well, but seriously looking at the clicgear cart smaller footprint.

Another vote for the Sun Mountain. I think they took a step backwards with the V2. V1 is much easier to strap with the bungee cords.

I've seen the Sun Mountain, both on the sales floor and in use. I agree, it's an excellent product.

Cheap, it ain't. I know there's the old adage, "you get what you pay for", but I've found that Dick's "Acuity" brand has some very nice products at a very reasonable price. This includes their 3-wheel pushcart. I think I paid like $45 for it on sale. The wheels are plastic, not real tires, but I actually prefer this. It's got all the features I need, including a water bottle, and doesn't have any frills I don't.

Just another option if you want to stay budget-conscious. smile.gif

A couple of questions:

1. Is there a Golfsmith coupon out right now?

2. What makes a pushcart so much better than an inexpensive 2-wheel pull cart?

1. EWS719MDS haven't bought anything yet, just tried to see if it worked, it does on certain product 15% off I believe. I just tried on the clicgear cart.

2. preference really, had a pull cart then just carried my bag then got a speedcart. find the 3 wheeler just easier to push, hold more things, stable platform if that makes sense

I had a Bag Boy EZ Fold and didnt like it. It didnt "steer" well compared the Sun Mtn so I returned it. I looked at the SM V1 and V2 and went with the V2 for a few reasons. I like the no strap system, better handle and compartments, it has mesh/nets to hold more stuff. Only cons are its slightly heaver and large r, but probably not noticable on the course.

The Sun Mountain Speed Cart V1 is a fantastic push cart and the V2 is borderline perfect. You couldn't go wrong with either one.

My wife has the V1 and really enjoys it.

1. See above post

2. Pull carts might be one of the worst things for your game. the stress it puts on one shoulder, your back and neck. you might be better off carrying than using a pull cart. A push cart on the other hand is very natural. put your arms in front of you body and walk. No strain on the back, shoulders, or really any part of your body. Also everything is always at your finger tips. As someone who has always carried, the clicgear cart is great. If you look at my avatar, it also fits folded up in the boot (trunk).

Another vote for Sun Mountain.

I purchased a Sun Mountain Speed Cart (V1 model) and it is great! Solid construction, easy to set-up/breakdown and folds neatly for easy storage in the trunk of my car. Accessories available as well.

While it a bit pricey...it pays for itself pretty quickly if your club charges you a cart fee to ride, which mine does. At least that is how I presented it to my wife when I came home with a new Speed Cart!!

I've had the Sun Mountain for a couple seasons and love it. I also have the new "V2" but do not feel it is worth the up-charge over the standard model.

That said, I saw rheilman's ClicGear cart last weekend and was very impressed. It seems to be engineered very well, and is amazing how small it folds down, yet is definitely full-sized and sturdy. I think Sun Mountain definitely has some competition in the ClicGear.

I just got the Bagboy Compact LX and it looks very good - folds up very small (24"x13") and seems to have great stability. Looks the business as well. I chose Silver since the all-black model looked a bit too BatMan for me - I just don't have THAT much game. Since I am up to my butt in snow here in Toronto, I cannot give a more concrete review, but as it is now discontinued it is available at god pricing in a number of places, Nevada Bobs, here in Canada for sure.

When the melt comes, I will try to post a full review, but it looks very promising as a cart.

Another vote for the clicgear-have 2 of them a 1.0 and a 2.0-pushed out a BagBoy pushcart. Love the size when folded and the sturdiness and stability of the platform.

i have the sun mountain v1. won it last year in a raffle and i really enjoy it. i used to always carry my bag and you would be amazed how much energy you have throughout the round just by using the easy to push cart. i would recommend getting one, whether it is sun mountain or not. i have been very pleased with mine. don't worry about inflating the tires, i have done it once since i got it, and it has a compact tire pump that snaps onto the cart in case you need it.
