How's about an opposite story?

Just this weekend, I was playing horrible. I shot a 91, which isn't too far behind my average. But it would have been a lot worse had I not finished birdie, par, par, birdie, birdie.

Of course this is payback from the weekend before where I was playing great and only needed to bogey those same 5 holes to break 80 for the first time. There I got bogey, bogey, bogey, bogey, triple bogey for an 81.

This game is so frustrating. At least my putting was good both weekends. russian_roulette.gif

That is sort of like when I play a new course. I have no clue where the trouble is so I just aim down the middle and fire, only to realize that the fairway is soooooooooo narrow at my landing point I never should have driver to begin with. Or firing at a pin and knocking it close only to realize when I get to my ball it was a good thing I did not miss it 2 or 3 feet in either direction because it would have been a certain double.

What I am getting at is this, at times ignorance is bliss on the golf course.

Because the next time I play the same course the only thing I saw was all the trouble and played more conservatively only to shoot 8 shots higher and feel as though I hit the ball the same both times.

What a game we play!!!!
