The other day I was in the checkout line in Target with one of my boys when I realized my mind drifted and I started working on my swing. The check out girl was looking at me with a raised eyebrow. Realizing I just got busted for looking nutso, I looked at her with a swager and stated that I'm working on my backswing. What is your lastest episode of compulsion?

I'm a fruitcake for keeping my clubs clean.

At the driving range at my club, the base layer is very, very sandy, and the range balls get all covered with grainy sand. If your clubface has a softer metal, it will tear up your clubface rather easily. So................I use some of that blue painter's masking tape on my Driver and fairway woods, to protect the faces, when hitting balls on the range.

Last weekend, I still had that painter's tape on my D/3W/5W, and my playing partners asked me about it, they thought I was hitting a demo club. When I explained how it protects the clubface, they looked at me as if I came from MARS! crazy.gif

My uncle was playing a tournament when my aunt went into labor. He got to the hospital, and the doctors told him it would be a few hours before she gave birth, so he headed back to the course to finish under the grace of the tournament committee, and his wife. I can't figure out why they are divorced now though smile.gif

My issue is the similar to Golfchicago's, basically stood outside work waiting for a colleague and in the reflection of a parked car window start checking that my head position stays constant throughout my swing. Not a full swing just pivoting my shoulders but still embarrassing to turn round & see three of four people on a cigarette break looking at me..... Thankfully my obsession is known at work so it was a couple of shakes of the head and a wry smile as to whether I am slightly disturbed.

That and the fact that as I walk of the 18th of one round that I am planning my next round.....
