BEND OF THE RIVER GC
We played the King's North Course at Myrtle Beach National this past weekend. A top notch course for sure. I highly recommend it. It was in great shape, pace of play was good (really crowded too!). I rank this course as WAY BETTER than the Dye Club and a little BETTER than the TPC of MB. The Gambler hole was fun as well as the very well bunkered 18th hole, which I birdied! Here are a few pics:

I played this course for the first time last year and REALLY enjoyed it. Maybe it was because it's different from the links-style courses that I typically play.

It was in excellent shape, required a lot of different shotmaking and had a really interesting layout.

I birdied 'The Gambler' too. Missed an eagle by 3 inches sad.gif

I loved King's North. I played there a couple of weeks ago, it was in great shape. I made it to the island fairway and across on the gambler, but missed the green to the right and ended up with a par, twice. (Played the front nine again)

Hole 3 is cool too, you go across the lake to the fairway or you can go long across the lake to the green. I was having a bad driver day, so I went to the fairway. Hole 18 has something like 42 bunkers.

I played South Creek this year and West Course last year, and while they are nice, King's North in in a different league IMO.

I recommend playing this course while you are there.

My favorite course in MB. You can take anyone there and have a good time. Beginners, and scratch players can all play the course from the correct tees.

Bend, looks like we've played just about the same courses lately! King's, TPC MB, Arcadia... seem to have similar opinions on em too. North has really greened up since I was there in Feb. How were the greens running?

The greens were a little hard, putted pretty fast too!

'The Gambler' chewed me up.

Wow, looks really nice. That will be on the list for next year. Did you play True Blue, or Caladonia?

I'm playing the west course in a couple of weeks on a trip. How is it?

The other courses looked to be OK, but not on the level of conditioning as the King's North Course.

Next year, we'll stay down south a bit and play True Blue and Caledonia along with Dunes Club and one yet to be named course! Maybe Blackmoor.
JASVA
Down south I've played River Club, WillBrook, and Litchfield. Litchfield is showing its age the other two are pretty nice.

I think a trip with True Blue, Caledonia, Dunes Club, and Blackmoor would be a very very good trip. From what I hear they are all very nice. I would love that lineup.
