Hello all - wondering if anyone had the odler SG2 and now has a SG4? If so, how do they compare? Thanks!!!

Well, Functionally they do the same thing. I have both. The SG4 has better graphic capability and the navigation is a bit nicer on the unit. I do like the SG4 better overall simply for the screen improvements. While I have these, I really am looking at the Sureshot GPS units. I am just waiting to get some info on their "amateur" mapped courses, as those are what is available - for the most part - in CT.
If cost is an issue, the SG2 is just as functional, IMHO.

But if you are a diehard golfer, the sg4 has a battery that will last approx 2.5 rounds which is longer than the sg2, about 1.75 rounds....also the sg4 has a memory expansion port but im not sure what that is for....the sg2 looks really ancient but the sg4 looks and feels really good.....if price is a factor, go with the sg3, its cheaper but same as sg4, except for the batteries vs lithium ion !!!

Thanks guys for the feedback. I really like the look of the SG4 but it doesn't sound like it is worth the extra $200 - $250 it would cost me after I sold mine.
