I am making my first trip to Augusta on tuesday...I will certainly bring my camera along.

The problem is, my camera bag is 12x6x5 and the note with the tickets says no bags larger than 10X5X5 will be allowed.

How strict are the Pinkertons when it comes to this? Has anyone here been turned away for a slight infracton?

Thanks
Patrick

Highly doubt you will be allowed camera for actual rounds... practice ok, but not actual tourney.

I've never been to the Masters, so take this FWIW, namely not much.

However, last time I went to a practice round and my bag didn't meet spec, all I had to do was take my camera out and check the bag itself it in a secure tent surrounded by police officers. When I left I got it back. I imagine they'll have something similar at Augusta National.

So I'd try it, worst case scenario you'll likely just have to check your bag in. I imagine some of the Augusta regulars will be able to give you some more advice.
