Leaving tomorrow for Naples, FL. Playing with a friend at his club, Twin Eagles. Also have the opportunity to play the Hideout Golf Club. Would appreciate comments (shot values, challenge, condition, etc.) on these courses, especially the Hideout. Should I make a point of playing the Hideout?

Twin Eagles is OK, they play or played a senior event there for a while. It is a very typical Florida Course, was not overky impressed.
There are two courses right next to Twin Eagles, owned by Bonita Bay Properties. Bonita bay also owns twin eagles now after it took it out fo bankruptsy.
I think the other course are the Sabel and something else. I found them both to be better than Twin Eagles, so maybe you can get on.

Thanks for the reply.
Anyone know anything about the Hideout Golf Club? Worth spending the money to play?

The Hideout is a very good track. No homes, just golf. You may even run into Larry Bird, as he's a member. Play it!

Hideout is a good track. To play any of the good courses you either need to know someone or be a member somewhere. If you get the opportunity you have to play Calusa Pines. It may just be the best track in Florida! It's across the street from Bonita Bay East and Twin Eagles.
Other courses you may want to play are Tuscany Reserve, Fiddlers Creek, Miromar Lakes and Naples National. All are private but very good tracks.

I'm heading to Naples a week from Monday. Maineline, where did you end up playing? I'm planning on hitting Tiburon one day. the rates after April 5th go down a lot. I'll probably also play Lely Resort (Flamingo or Mustang) one day.

i was in naples during christmas. Probley the best thing i did was grap a couple of thouse golf course guides in different golf shops. There are alot of nice courses out there that are not as high priced as tiburon or rapture bay. Both of these courses are nice but some times during the year you can pay $300 for 18 holes. Naples is all about golf and the courses there are all pretty nice.
