Faldo Course, they call this an Australian Links Course, i really liked this course, they have the best GPS system i have used yet.

Those bunkers scare me!

I played both the Faldo and Palmer in January under pretty miserable conditions, cold and windy. I thought both were very good courses, the Faldo being the better of the two.

Now those are some bunkers!!! It's nice to see some bunkers that are more challenging.

I wish we would have played there instead of Kierland last time.

I played the Palmer course last year & had a blast. I would have liked to have played the Faldo also but it was closed for overseeding.
I agree that the GPS is the best I have ever used.

May I ask what you payed to play Kierland? I'm staying there in a month and hoping there's a way I could stay on site for 1 day and not pay $180. Otherwise, I'll be leaving the resort each day.

What is the name of that GPS system?

We have that same GPS system at Thundering Waters, John Daly's design. It's interesting to get all your yardages and then check a leaderboard or a score of the game.

I played the Faldo Course once and that was enough for me. I'm not a fan of bunkers in the middle of fairways. For the cost, there are so many better places to go.

It's a golf course in the desert, it really can't look natural can it?

Seriously, though, some of the bunkers do look over the top.

Quite contrived, but better than trying to play in Michigan during the winter. The grass looks almost like astro-turf. JHR, these are some great pics! Thanks for sharing, someday I'll make out to AZ for some winter golf as well!
