I have recently changed my mind on this topic. I'm going with Stuart Appleby and after watching his swing this year, I think it might be the best in the game. Simple and powerful.
What do you guys think??? Matt

Current crop --Sergio Garcia - hands down, it was 6 years ago that he battled Tiger down the stretch at the PGA and he hasn't sniffed one since. Four years ago he boasted of wanting to lead both US and Euro money lists, and he hasn't come close to either.

I have to say Monty for sure. Dimarco is more the best player to never really win anything. I know he's won 3 tournaments and did make the putt to win the presidents cup, but he really hasn't won enough tournaments, to be the best not to win a major.
Brad
Sergio from the list provided, great ball striker, if he ever learns to putt he could win a bunch.
Monty would also be included, probably won't ever win one now, but he should have when he was a dominant force on the Euro Tour.

On the basis of their records I would say Garcia and Appleby. Of those two I would not be surprised if Appleby broke through with a win before Sergio.

Got to be Garcia. If he could hole more putts he could have won several by this time.

OK; I'm from Denmark - so my vote is Thomas Bjørn
But number two is - no doubt - Sergio Garcia.
I see Sergio as a potentiel number one player in the world within the next 5 years.
BUT Thomas Bjørn has proved to himself and us that he definitely has the stuff to win a major. He has - I think - the best record in total majors for non major winners the last decade besides Colin Montgomerie - and Monty is not on your list of players to vote for.
I do think Bjørn has proved that he might not have what it takes to go all the way, but as long as he continues to be in top 3 in majors, I must say that I think he is the best player to never win a major....yet

This will come as no surprise to anyone that has followed any of my posts in the past....................Chris Dimarco.

I think of the current crop that will likely win a major:
Sergio Garcia
Adam Scott
Luke Donald
Of the players whose major days are likely behind them:
Colin Montgomerie

I have to go with DiMarco. He's been the closest recently- ('04 PGA then the '05 Masters). His game is pretty solid tee through green, but more importantly he's a gamer. Steps it up big time.
Then it's Appleby and Garcia. Appleby might be a choke job in waiting, not too sure yet. His game is pretty good. And well, Garcia is just too crappy of a putter. If he could at least be a streaky good putter like Vijay, he might be able to pull off 3-4 decent enough putting rounds to compliment his ball striking for a big fat major W.
I think it's another season before Scott and Donald contend in majors.

Monty
Sergio
Lee Westwood
I don't think you can count DIMarco in this list, Plus I can't stand the fist pumpin' little imp.
Forgot Paddy If harrington had sunk a few mor putts in his carreer we would be talking about him in the same vain a Tiger, VJ, Erni & Phill

Of those listed, I would pick Sergio. He has 16 victories on the PGA and international stage.
Two players which I think should be included would be Kenny Perry and yes Colin Montgomerie has proven he still has game back.

Monty would have to be my first choice, but he's not on your list.
As far as your list goes: Stu Appleby. The guy can drive the ball 400+ yards! He's got a great iron game and he's pretty nice around the greens. Besides that -- he's gorgeous!

And nice.

I am biased, but I believe his record over the last 10 years will substantiate my vote:
Kenny Perry.

I'd say ... the all-time best golfer never to win a major has to be Monty. He has SO much talent and skill but never really settled mentally in America. But ... watch out if he does.
Here's an interesting thing ... I rekon the worst golfer to ever win a major has to be Paul Lawrie. Sorry, I had to just add that in. He didn't win it really, he was given it and has done bugger all before or since.

Adam Scott has I think the best-looking swing on tour by far. But that does not mean it is the best. I believe that of all the players listed for the vote, Stuart Appleby will have the greatest career, and HE has the BEST swing on tour.

Monty. no 1 in the world for a while with no major. 7 european tour orders of merit in a row and an 8th last year. deserved to win a couple of majors, really great player in his day. mind you, if he has a very good week at one on the majors this he could still win one, great player.

Darren Clark would be up there for me, it frustrates me watching him play in tourneys because he is hitting it as close as the top players in the world but his putting just lets him down , I think if he could become a consistant putter he would win a major.
I also have to say sergio though he will win one. Same goes for Luke Donald.

I would have to go with Adam Scott and then Sergio.
I think Adam is a little more consistent than Sergio. Sergio would stand such a good chance if he could keep his game persistent. Right now though I have to go with Adam.

DiMarco....He's got the package, but he needs a trophy to showcase the talent!
