Well the wife and I are off to Vegas in April and I was planning on getting 1 round in out there. We are only there for 3 days then off to Az. for 4. I know where I'll be playing down there but Vegas is the question mark. I'll have at best only a couple of rounds in this year by that time so the game will probably be shaky. That brings the high dollar courses into the doubtful category, but I do want to play a pretty good course. I was thinking Paiute but not the Wolf, more like Sun or Snow. Any other ideas out there?

Revere Lexington and Wolf Creek always come to mind for me. If you don't mind the hour's drive up to Mesquite then it would be Wolf Creek. Granted it is a minimum 5-hour round, but it's a great course.

There are some bargains for Black Mountain through golfnow. com for anywhere from $20-$40 round including cart. Another great course that is reasonable is Boulder Creek.

What days are you in Vegas? I'll be there for NAB from the 13-21st, and will play 3-4 rounds.

We fly in on Sunday the 15th so Mon and Tue are open for me. We'll be driving down to Lake Havasu sometime on Wed. I'll probably pick up a car on Tue. so I would really like to play with someone vs. showing up as a single and hoping for the best. I finished up last year at a 6.2 but couldn't hope for that now. A couple of range sessions and some warmer weather would help! Still snow on the ground around here.

We are staying at the Palms.

I hear you, that's the situation I'm typically in being a single. We get in the 13th and we'll be at Excalibur this time just because they gave the best rates for NAB. Let me see if I can work the schedule around so we can hook up to play.

I would call the concierge at the Palms to see if they have any partnerships with some area courses. You may be able to get a smoking deal that people staying at other hotels may not be able to get.

Otherwise, the value that Paiute offers is hard to beat IMHO.

Hope that helps.
