Golf Monster eh?, I just drove by Golf Monster in Las Vegas by coincidence. I wasn't looking for it, just happened to notice the sign. It's closed down. I already knew it was. But now that I see it, no surprise it's closed....lousy location.

What did they sell? I know all about location location location Just closed a truck accessories biz........because of a bad location!
I missed the question about when the USGA was started,wasn't going to fast either just missed it!!

I shot -13 but only because i did a report on the history of golf for my science fair, and the others were obvious.(such as the 14 club question)

ahh, 10-under, got tripped up on the "caddie" question

Yeah cfreeman8 some of the questions are kinda child like,for serious golf die hard's. I still thought that some might get a kick out of it, with some of the ?'s That caddie one was kinda interisting,but leave it to a woman to come up with that. I'm sure the tour player's appreciate it!

Brian Oleska who used to buy/sell tour cameron putters and other accessories decided to take the plunge and open a big golf shop focusing on putters - particularly expensive Camerons. He had a cool website.

Like many people with a serious passion/hobby, they dive into retail, spend a lot of money then find out it's not all cracked up to what they thought it was. Now I am not speaking for Brian, I have not talked to him. It's kind of surprising we have never met because he worked at Canyon Gate CC in LC, which I have been to more times than I can remember.

I wonder where Brian is these days??? Honestly, I think he was one of the good guys in the Cameron collector world but like all the other good guys the cartel gets jealous and bad mouths you until it is no fun anymore. I could go into more detail, but some things are better left in the past - buried.

I never went to his shop, but I saw pictures. A nice place and the best putter display case I have ever seen.

Maybe he relocated and still does golf business, I don't know. Anyone?

I went into that store back in Dec 03 or 04. Stumbled on it completely by accident. The location was bad especially back then when most of the area was still undeveloped. It was just on the end of Las Vegas that location certainly was a problem. The store itself was great. TONS of Camerons! There were I think two hitting bays in there. The first golf store I saw that carried Sonartecs. Bought a Gauge Golf Design hat simply because I liked the logo--had no idea then they made clubs. I think they had an eBay store called putter monster or gofl monster. They used to have the store name on their business cards.

-12. Picked Ike as the first golfing president... At least I got my second choice right. It was 50/50 between Taft and Coolidge...

Got several of my tour Cammys from Brian including my gamer. Great guy....didn't know he wasn't there anymore. Always took care of me.

That was fun. I shot -11. I should've gotten Mary of Scots and the PGA forming one.

I got them all correct on the first try with the exception of the Caddie question...I got them one right with my final guess...a 5 for that question!
