Ok, now i flipped on the golf channel for the first time in probably a month... only to be dissapointed at this ludacris show. I can understand sponsoring something... but why not just show 30 minutes of callaway golf clubs from different angles under the sun with roger cleveland boring the hell out of us?? I mean, they talk about nothing pretty much, and every minute they show either 6 dozens of hx tours, a staff bag of callaway clubs, that upside down triangle icon, or something callaway... i dont know how much they have to pay, but it looks very tacky. You dont need a staff bag of callaway clubs behind the chairs in a tv show, you dont need a callaway logo in every inch of the room, or balls, hats, etc. I think it should be called 30 minutes of callaway golf stuff cuz we cant think of a better show... or maybe thats just me, feel free to chime in on your opinions...

All kinds of lame shows are on TGC mid-day, that's how they pay the bills - 30 minute ads.

id rather watch that then a sky caddy or solus infomercial... you do realize at any time during the broadcast, you can simply change the channel. You can go up or down, you can also enter a completely different channel, its up to you though, lots of descisions i know.

or a Momentus or Medicus ad. Or heaven forbid the Jack Hamm or Peter Kessler infomercial.

I haven't caught that one yet, I'm sure the product placement is over the top, but it is on every show on every TV station.

TGC has been doing for years... remember the Titleist fitness show, or the Grey Goose top shelf...

think about how many other nitch sports have their own channel on national basic cable, they don't have the market share that other stations have so they can't charge as much for commercial time so they need to sell more of them to make up the difference... instead of more breaks in the show they just merge the two. Pick your poison.

the show that really gets my goat on TGC is that talk show that Tillman hosts with the two guys who just argue and berate each other with little point. If I see that on I automatically turn the station. It is a train wreck and a half! Have mercy on us golf channel pull the plug on that show!

That Jack Hamm infomercial has to be the worst... Hearing him grunt on every shot, the strip club DJ voice-over (Gentlemen, put your hands together for the lovely and talented Hammer!) and the jet engine sound as the ball gets launched. Just makes me wince.

I think TGC is trying to do an awful knock-off version of ESPN's PTI in a weird way. This show won't last.

just saw a preview on tgc "the approach" is the show that I hate... never stuck around long enough to realize what it was called.

That was pretty funny...

At first glance, I liked the show. I mean I'm so bloody sick of swing-a-tron 5000 commercials... I can't stand it.

Then the comb-over guy started to steal the show... not in a good way, I just could not get past that slick forward thing he was doing. Thank god someone must have politely asked him to get rid of it.

Now with that dead rat off his head, I find all I see is Callaway stuff. It just feels kinda over the top. Yes we know it's a Callaway show but in every corner of that set there's Callaway balls, bags, comb-overs and what not.

As campy as it is, I like it. They are FINALLY getting some charisma built between comb-over stats dude and orange guy.

Me living in germany all i got is 2 hours of live golf in the worst possible picture quality (where is the ball??) and nothing else concerning golf.
Oh yeah,also "inside the pga tour" the weekly show, really BADLY overvoiced... lol

The Golf Channel needs to get rid of all these golf nerd statasticians on the Approach and Win Zone. Show reruns. Show more Natalie. Show anything but this crap. I wouldn't mind seeing a Paula Creamer show either.

I only know about this Wednesday Special on Eurosport, when and on what channel is that 2 hours of live golf?

This Eurosport show is really bad, they (almost) only show the putts and quite often they will tell you if that player has made that putt or missed it, before they show it.

U are right. Eurosport might as well NOT show golf. It's so bad i've never watched for more than 2 minutes.

Those 2 hours live golf i am talking about is from a german payTV channel called Premiere. I don't know where you are from but you cannot get it outside of germany.

I for one actually don't mind it. It is interesting to see the stats and other interesting little tidbits that are brought up. Andrew McGee isn't that bad, and is kinda refreshing since the majority of the course he has played on are still in the PGA rotation today. I wish we could hear more current and former tour players speak about the game like he does. Maybe all it comes down to is that I am a really big golf nerd, and will look at anything golf related...
