I don't work for this company but tried these on my hybrids and 3 wood and they work! Not that I sky the ball often but great accessory for when its wet and in the rough and you get under it. Went on easy, can't even see it at address. Best $7 I have spent. Can't wait to sky these bad boys all year and keep their re-sale value high!

So I am assuming this is called Clear Sheild? I know dumb question. I was just a hard working C student!
Not that I will need this of course! cool.gif

I have to wonder if these clear shields will take the paint off your driver when you try to peel them off..

I've been using these for over a year and can tell you they won't take the paint off. They are narrow and not visible at address also.

Are they conforming?

I use black electrical tape. Have for a couple years now. I clean the area w/ rubbing alcohol and use 3M black tape. Works great!

No, you can't use it in USGA sanctioned events, and technically, they are not even legal for handicap rounds. Personally, I think that is a bunch of BS (the fact that it is not legal).
Smooth spin scott
I hear you Sprinbok, I just noticed on their site that these are non-conforming... I consider myself an honest golfer and would never cheat. But if the USGA wants to fix my sky mark when I've made a stupid swing then I will continue to use it. I did however cut the Clearshield so that it barely touches the actual face at the top. So the striking area of the face is not covered, simply made sure the paint was protected.
edwelly
I still don;t understand how this is not legal - why should it matter? You can lead tape the crap out of the bottom, but not protect the paint???
oldgoalie
Well, the reason why it is illegal is that the only reason you can add something to a club is for weight.

Pretty dumb rule, great product idea.
MrBlack
isnt it illegal cause you are adding somehting removable to the face?
