As the topic states. "When does Montana's golf season start" looking to make a trick down first week in March if the courses are up and running?

I just got relocated to Medicine Hat which is very close to MT, our season is set to start end if march beginning of April. if you ever get down that way shoot me a PM and maybe we can get around in.

I have heard that Maris Valley in Shelby MT keeps 9 holes open year round. if a chinook comes through guys from Medicine hat will drive down and play twice then come home

I'm from Melfort SK, a friend of a friend works at a course in the Hat I think, the plan woul dbe to come through there pick him up and continue down into Montana, I would be interested to know how far south you have to go in the first part of April? Or if everythign is open by that time? I really have no idea.

My wife is from Havre, MT. I will be visiting this July.. don't think I will get any golf in though.

I've been asking some of the locals in the Hat and they are saying by April 4 most courses should be open on full greens as long as the weather co-operates. Which course does your friend work at?

Havre is only a few hours from the Hat, Medicine hat is about 1.5 hrs from the boarder so I've been told I have not driven down yet but it is in the plans to do it soon

Funny as I sit here I realize that I still haven't updated my passport, so I can write off that idea as I think as of January you now need your passport to cross the boarder even on ground? Well I'm going to be in the Hat at the very end of March (30,31) maybe with some luck things will be warm, and courses will be open (fingers crossed) It's actually a friend of a friend, not sure what course he works at his name is Serge Bourgault, I'm pretty sure he works at a course but I don't know for sure.

you have till 2008 on ground with no passport, you do need a passport by air.

You figure the courses will be open the last day of March first day of April? I know our season doesn't usually get going until about the 20th of April, but the Hat, an Cow town are usually a couple weeks ahead of us.

I was picking up my new wedges from the Redcliff course and they figure by the easter weekend at the lastest, funny thing that is where Serge works
