Does anybody know what model this vintage Ping bag is?

It's pre Hoofer, I don't think it's a K.

Any ideas?

I think they called that an L8, I know I had one back in the day.

L8 for sure

In my opinion - still the best bag ever made... now if only I didn't sell my Blue and White one... grrr

Thanks for the info.

I traded for an L8 and didn't know what model it was.

L8 definitely.......they had a newer version out after this one called the K56. Similar but wasn't as good IMHO. The fur top cuffs on the L8's used to be removable and replaceable which was really the only part of the bag that got much wear so it seemed like they would last forever.

When I switched my clubs over the one thing I noticed is that the L8 is built like a tank.

It's several years old but it basically looks new.

Wow had that bag in 15 years ago. Brings back memories. L8 no dividers. Was like playing tug of war getting your clubs out. LOL

I used mine today and the funny thing was a couple of people at the course thought it was new, like Ping is still making them or something. It looks in better shape than my Mite-E-Lite I got this summer.

I like it, it's very simple and practical, and I love the straps.

Technically its an L8+. The original L8 was a single strap, two pocket bag with no stand that came out in the mid 1980s. That was repaced the early 1990s with the L8 Stand, which added a few pockets and a stand...and a better strap. The L8+ replaced that bag, and they made it a double strap bag and added a liner to the 4 way divider which had previously just been plastic.
